OGDT JSN Presents Senators @ Rangers (MSG) 7:00 pm

Keepin it simple.. Rangers probably need to win this one. Lets go Rangers.

4. Ottawa 69 GP 85 PTS [@] 8. NY Rangers 69 GP 76 PTS

Henrik Lundqvist will get the start. The Senators have been blowing late 3rd period leads lately (sound familiar?) if we can keep it close the Rangers have a shot.

-----------------------------------------------------
Last Meeting: Jan 11, 2007, L 4-6

Update from Rangers Blog:

"Shanahan back on the ice

13 For the first time since his concussion Feb.17, Brendan Shanahan is currently skating at the MSG Training Center.

The conditioning skate is only with assistant coach Perry Pearn, and there’s still no word on when Shanahan can subject himself to contact. But this is obviously still an encouraging sign for a player who had been completely inactive until recently.

More later.."

Anything less than 2 points will not do. We need to be able to beat a good team like this at home. No 3 point game, either. I want to actually win in REGULATION!!

Go Rangers!!

Here's to a GREAT Injury Free game. A Win will be nice.

Technically if we win and the Isles lose we overtake them in the standings.

Just in case they need some more inspiration other than the other 4 teams in the rear view mirror

Caution!: Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear.

There is no reason we can't be them right now, but I'm betting we lose this game. The Rangers don't seem to be big fans of winning streaks

this will be a physical game. Avery or Isbister should play with Jagr. Neil will try to run around like he did last game. This is a game where Avery, Hollweg and Orr are needed.

I agree. I'd prefer Avery over Isbister on the 1st line.

this game, if no other, is based solely how Henrik does. i think if he gives up more than 1 goal, we aint winning.

Apparantly, the guys in the Ottawa GDT think they have the monopoly on blowing leads... this will be an interesting game.

Go hockey!

I think we are just as good at it as they are if not better. But a win together with an Islander loss would kick a$$!

Every game is making me so nervous. I'm actually gonna be away for 2 weeks starting Friday and won't have the stress of watching this team, but I want the stress! Here's to one more stressful yet victorious game before I go away!! Let's go Rangers!

i must disagree... avery looked totally lost out there with the free-wheeling and circling jagr and nylander... he had no chemistry with the two in the last few games.

isbister seems a better fit

We should rest Jagr the first 2 periods. Who ever get the lead will blow it anyway, why bother for the first two periods.

I can think of 4 reasons.....Shanahan, Tyutin, Hossa and a less than 100% Jagr!
If luck is on our side we win this game at less than 100% capability.

Heres to 2 points tonight..any which way..OT or regulation..we just need the points.

BTW, who do you think we pull for tonight? Isles or Habs? I have to say we want the Habs if we win, and Isles if we lose.

Avery can't play on a line with Nylander and Jagr. He rockets into the zone, and they like to slow down and make moves on the blueline. I keep noticing that we get a TON of offsides when he is on the ice with them. He's off to the races and Nylander is still doing ballerina spins in the neutral zone.
