Hasek, Hasek, Hasek.....he'd be the best goalie in the league, if he'd STAY IN THE ****** NET!!!! No reason whatsoever to come out of the net on that play. Either it's going to go around the boards before he can get to it, or it's going to take a bad hop and bounce in front of the net. Aside from the groin, this is the other reason I don't really trust him for the playoffs. He'll probably still be better than Manny or Ozzie, but those who think he'll be the X-factor that saves them, look at performances like this one. Ouch.

I missed the first goal and the fight, because of stinking daylight shavings.

Good ol' Lang. A tap in goal and three - THREE! - lazy penalties, one of which resulted in a Boston PP goal. Someone will say he played great, because hey, he scored a goal, and that's all that matters!

Hudler played his best game yet, I think.

Just about everyone else was terrible. Just a miserable effort in this one all around.

Hasek just doesn't bother me. He is what he is, and its always been that way. Its seems completely useless to me to question the things he does. He has made his NHL Hall of Fame career by being very obscure. He played poorly today, but it by NO MEANS makes me feel uncomfortable about him being in net come playoff time. Some goalies step up their play in big games and Dom is definitely in that group. Without a doubt. I dont care how many goofy goals he gives up by wandering out of the net in game like todays. His track record proves that he knows when its time to step it up. No worries from me at all.

The Wings were overdue for such a loss like this. They played like crap last 5-10 games, but were smart enough to find ways to win points in last 10.
Kronwall struggles big time, I hope he'll turn it around soon.

The only good things I can say about yesterday are these:

1) The seats were good.

2) The company was good.

3) I got a phone call last night when I got home, my father is going back home to live for a while with round the clock care.

4) Pasha got a helper, and now he has scored at least a point against every team in the League. Small consolation...I wish he would have noticed me in the Dynamo jersey when I was shooting pics. Oh well....

Other than that, it was unmitigated disaster. If it was a horse, I would have shot it. I'll go through the photos and see what is good and what is not. Give me a couple days.

Kira! Where were you? I scanned Section 108 (had my binoculars too) for a Moscow Dynamo jersey and did not see one. During one of the breaks I wandered over (I had my Feds jersey on) to see if any Dynamo jerseys were about, but no luck! Did you move or leave the jersey at home?

There was someone wearing a Russian Datsyuk jersey in one of the Detroit papers' web sections recently, though I don't remember which one, or what the story was about. I remember seeing a crowd shot from one of the hallways out toward the ice, and someone was wearing a dark colored Datsyuk Russian jersey, but it wasn't a Team Russia one, because it wasn't red or white. I think it was green.

"We earned this. This has been coming for awhile," Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said. "We can't, from the back end, continue to turn over the puck like we have been."
