Very pretty set up goals. A perfect flip pass to Higgins and a sick behind the back pass to Plekanec. Very nice.

Impressed with his willingness to throw pucks on net but not be selfish. His passing ability is great, he can dangle and stickhandle well. He threw some hits and got into the game by using his strength to muscle players off the puck and control it with his strength and patience.

Cause he was unfairly treated by management in comparison to the other prospects.

He said that he would've been on the team for the whole season, but some stupid Russian midget got in his way.

Just kidding, I'd like to know what he said.

In other words, I don't think he speaks english enough to answer anything else so I doubt he was interviewed. Or was he interviewed? I'm not watching the post-game so maybe I'm completely wrong.

BTW, I have no idea what I just copied, hopefully it's not something vulgar.

Said on CKAC that he knows Higgins from his days in Hamilton...

Pretty cool that the guy is trying hard to speak English!

I just watched the first but him plekanec and higgins was our best line in a while. I know Latendresse played on that line too and they scored. Plekanec and Kostitsyn had great chemistery from the start. I hope they can play together for a long time.

No need for Kovalev now that Kostitsyn is here. Well its only one game but its his 2nd multi point game sinc ehis call up.

Do you know whats also special, is that combination is a line fully developed by the Montreal Canadiens organization. Together they looked very good, and i think how you saw those three play, you have to give props to the work being done in Hamilton.

NO...because he was in Belarus while his girlfriend was giving birth to his first kid, hence why Duncan Millroy was called up.

No goals yet for him, but he's shooting.. His one slapper in the game that Dunham stopped sounded like a thunderbolt from the heavens.

I was one of those who wanted this kid at the 2003 draft.

I jumped up and screamed for joy when Savard announced his name.

It's been a long road with plenty of lows, but tonight there should be no doubt.

This kid is a NHLer. This kid has a chance to be a top 6 forward for a loooooong time.

I don't know if he will ever be a superstar, but he definitely has the ability to thrill us Habs fans for a long time. Those last 2 passes WERE SICK.

I have no worry with his shot. His first goal in the NHL says it all.

Definitely a good game, he stepped up and got the message of his benching. He needs to play like the maniac he is to stay in. He did that and more.

The problem for top six minutes is who to drop: Ryder played well, Higgins played well, Latendresse played well and Kovalev played well last time he played. You cannot move Higgins to center and Pleks down either.

He's definitely earned his NHL spot, but he's going to have to unhorse one of those four men to stay up there.

Honestly, I like what Carboneau is doing right now... four number one lines is what it looked like, he spread everyone out and it worked two games straight. Like Kovalev got that much hyped ride on the fourth line Saturday and played 20+ minutes. With the parity on the roster, this isn't the worst approach.

Look at their career histories, knock off this season and compare.

Sure Kostitsyn had a great game tonight and Samsonov has been a complete failure, but if you'd asked 1000 hockey people before the season who would have had more success in the upcoming season... three Habs fans would have been the only people not to vote Samsonov.
