I think he'd come back to play in Montréal, but I doubt he plays in Hamilton ever again.
It wouldn't surprise me to see him come back. I gotta admit, I never thought Emelin would join us. Took him 7 years. Maybe Nygren will take the same route. Hopefully he shows up at camp so we can at least have another look at him.
Doesn't really bring anything more than Tinordi except experience...
Hits harder than Tinordi, and yes has more experience. I would rather him be my number 7 than Pateryn, or Bouillon.
I would like to re-sign Weaver for another year. And assuming Markov is returning, give the number 6 spot to the winner of the Tinordi-Beaulieu training camp showdown. The loser of that battle plus Pateryn start with the Dogs since they are waiver-exempt, and we see how it goes.
If Markov is not back, we might need another vet, if we see that one of Tinordi or Beaulieu is not ready at training camp, otherwise start the season with both, and be ready to pick up a vet if things go downhill.
Personally, I think it's worst that he put Nygren in the NHL, but that's just me.
You should watch him play (or even look at his stats). He's more NHL ready than all three of the others.
I watched several of his games with Farjestads this year, he's a very good defenceman. If you like Subban on the PP, you'll definitely appreciate Nygren. Physical, mobile, offensively gifted, and well-rounded defensively.
