Calgary Hitmen vs Red Deer Rebels on RSN West & Pacific

This is a big game to watch:

A: Ryan White is playing and is in a dog fight with Hamill for points leader

B: Three potential first rounders are playing in: Karl Alzner (defenceman), Alex Plante (defenceman), and Brandon Sutter (center)
Tune in

Mckeens has Sutter in the top 10 as other scouting services has him in the top 30. Alzner is rated top 7 everywhere, Plante has been rated in the top 15 and Sonne has been climbing do to his robust 2 way ability, i am assuming he could climb in the first round much like Nick Foligno of the Sens did.

Hopefully he can match the same performance he gave last time he was on the net.

I am sure he will, hes in a race for the scoring lead and everyone loves to be on television. Especially when you want to shove it in scouts' faces.

Sonne won't go in the top round I don't think - he's a third rounder, perhaps second if someone really loves his character.

Sutter is going to be dropping in the McKeen's list a bit; he hasn't been progressing the way we'd like while others like Couture and Voracek have really stepped up their play.

Our latest rankings will be out on Monday when we publish our next Draft Digest. I'll post a link at that time.

Plante ius out with an elbow injury. I was talking to his defence partner Karl Alzner for a feature I did on the top rated defenceman which will be in the March digest, and Karl was telling me that Alex had a huge bruise on his arm - not sure when he'll be back.

What do you mean? Wasn't around in the last 5 minutes but he was definately playing at the beginning.

On the ice right now at the end of the period.

Didn't miss much thus far. It's been all PK for Calgary so far, Reimer was good for Red Deer when needed, Leafs might have find out another good goalie prospect. Didn't notice Brendan Sutter a lot. Alzner is solid. And I'm really loving Sonne's game. White showed some great passing skills. And he's solid on his skates.

You didn't miss much though.

solid as in hard to knock off, but how good of a skater is he.

How did Alzner play? Is he worthy of trading up for?

Yawner of a game. Not much of a show from White either.

I think that would be a very good move if Gainey could pull it off. We need another blue-chip defense prospect.
