After what happened last night I figured they would lose by two or three goals tonight. The second period was shocking. Great players and coaches on the Oil Kings.

Junior hockey is crazy.

I gave them no chance tonight based on the heartbreak of last night

but what character...really the heart of a champion! down 2-0 in the series, 2-0 in game 3 and THEN blow a 5-2 lead in game 6 and be down 1-0 in Game7 and still win

wow

congratz men, go get them in London!

Why Can't the Oilers play like this?

Or better why do the Oil Kings look bigger than the Oilers?

I have to admit as well I thought they were going to lose tonight too. I thought the loss at Rexall might have crushed their confidence and the loud energetic Portland crowd can really give their team a energy boost. Really happy to see the Oil Kings pull out the win tonight. They made Edmonton proud tonight.

lol Corbett is such a player, and no I don't mean hockey player.

Also lol @ the puck bunny getting a pic with all the OKs.

Anyway, I was one game off, but once again the OKs show why defense wins championships.

Laxdal deserves a coaching gig with the Oilers. If they don't snap him up someone else will.

Because they actually are.

Lazar, Samuelsson, Moroz, Reinhart, Baddack, Petryk... Legitimatly their top players are all like 6'2" 210 lbs.

Absolutely. Laxdal is the DEFINITION of 'nothing left to prove' at that level. Though a Memorial Cup would be nice.

As far as I'm concerned let the Oilers draft all the Oil Kings they want. Taught to play hockey the right way, to stick up for each other, and to compete every second of every shift.

No one deserves to be ridiculed. I don't think anyone could have seen how this game would go down. Portland lost at home what, 4 times this year? All the stats were in their favor. No one could have seen Dumba putting another atrocious game together in such an important game. Lets just all enjoy a championship!

I definitely want to see Laxdal as an assistant coach or similar with the Oilers.

If the Oilers played with the effort that the Oil Kings play with they might have been a playoff team this season. Watching the Oil Kings is like the complete opposite of watching the Oilers play.
