Everything Chris Simon / Ryan Hollweg

Talk about a laughable comment! Glad they are bringing it up on the Devils broadcast.

Woopie! I love this arguement. Hollweg took a 2 minute penalty if anything at all, therefore it's his fault. Does this mean any time we draw a penalty we get to hit the opposing player in the face with a stick?

Ken "I looked like a wasted mess when I won my 3rd cup " Daneyko is hardly a credible source whether or not they named some "Den" after him. lol

Agreed. I think it's ironic that a guy who'd slash, elbow, crosscheck his way to a victory would complain about a guy who got hit in the face with a stick. I never minded Daneyko much, but the dude was no angel. I think it's SERIOUSLY hypocritical for opening his mouth up about this and saying that Hollweg's hit was a cheap hit.

Ex Devils players no matter what they won can never get over their hatred for the Rangers. He basically said nothing on the hit by Janssen.

Anyone can say whatever they want, fact remains, what Simon did is inexcusable.

BTW, why can't some posters control their anger and be somewhat civilized so that mods don't have to close threads......If everyone acted as they would do in real life we wouldn't need moderating. Moderators wouldn't be called moderators.

this is the same class act who after the Devils won the Cup in 2003 said that he was still bitterly disappointed about not winning in 2001 and screw Ray Bourque and his quest for the cup, "WE WOULD HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED A DYNASTY"

Dirty during his career and dirty after his career.

Any statements from Ken are a joke at best. Let's keep blaiming the recipient of a nasty stick swinging incident, plus, Hollwegs hit was legal.

Ken

What game was he watching? Holly's hit was hard but clearly ok, he was checking the guy who had the puck. I thought that was the rule; I guess that explains simon going bananas trying to hurt our guy; oh yeah, I forgot the Devils, last year in the playoffs Jannsen tried to check Jags w/ bad shoulder into infinity, thats ok I suppose....

Whoa, say what you want about him, calling him dirty is the farthest thing from the truth, not even close.

Booing the opposition's players just because they're wearing the other sweater and are good is wholesome fun.

I actually disagree. I would've loved Dano on our team, but the guy crosschecked, slashed, hacked, hit high sometimes, etc. The guy was a warrior but he crossed the line with his hits a lot as well. Not that it was bad for your team, however.

Like when? I mean if your going to call him dirty we might as well call half of the league back then dirty, seriously.

Doesn't matter who the source is, the hit was on the numbers and therefore a dirty hit. Daneyko was right.

I could care less what Daneyko thinks. Similarly to how I'm sure Devil fans could care less what Mess has to say about their team.

Let's be a little better than talking about someone's problem with alcohol. There is not need to go in that direction. Especially when what he thinks doesn't mean anything.

Dano said what he thinks. Melrose and Clement think the hit was clean. You what they say about opions....

Holly's hit was not dirty nor cheap. It was a BODERLINE hit from behind/boarding penalty.

He has been called for it many times so far in his career, it's a fine line he walks everytime he makes that check.

Does he change his game?

Does he let this make him become healthy scratch Hollweg every night?

I'm not surprised. Daneyko can never bring himself to say anything remotely positive about the Rangers. He's the worst player in NHL history to last as long as he did.
