If there was ever a time for Rick Nash to finally step up it would be now.

It's amazing how Nash could coast into another Eastern Conference Finals appearance in recent years.

The Rangers are like the anti-Pens. Quality depth and goaltending that's never an embarrassment with star players that perform like dog poop.

Correct, was thinking he was on the team two seasons ago as well initially.

Yeah. I second guessed that myself. In a lot of ways, the Rangers were better before that trade.

As much as I don't want the Penguins to win, rooting for the Rangers just feels wrong.

I consider this a massive choke for the Pens if they lose. The Rangers looked depleted and exhausted. And the Pens tried to coast for the 4th game. The Rangers didn't even look substantially better in that game, I thought it was more to do with the Penguins completely lacking killer instinct or intensity. And then New York has just gotten better and better since, while Pitt has just sorta rolled up.

Hoping for the lesser of two evils isn't really considered rooting.

Pens rolling up and dying in the playoffs? Sounds familiar.

The difference is between 3 day clearly expired milk and 14 day clearly expired milk.

Only downside to the Pens losing is they will probably fire Bylsma. If they were to make it to the conference finals and lose, I think they'd bring him back. That being said, I still hope they complete the choke job tonight. It's awesome to see how their fans have gone from arrogant and smug to miserable losers over the last 4 years.

I'm OK with risking Bylsma's firing. If Shero stays all of his flaws stay too.

Now that would be a shame.

Still...it looks like their team is heading towards a precipice. Complicated cap situation on the horizon, very few worthwhile prospects. The incoming GM might have a hard time averting that without something dramatic.

We just need Fleury to pull a young Eli Manning here and the choke job will be complete.

The Rangers also lose their 1st if they advance.

People never seem to mention that for some reason.
