Here's my way too early 53: Players in green are near locks, players in red are long shots.

QB: Foles, Sanchez, Barkley
RB: McCoy, Sproles, Polk
TE: Ertz, Celek, Casey, Burton
WR: Maclin, Cooper, Matthews, Huff, Benn
OL: Peters, Mathis, Kelce, Herremans, Johnson, Barbre, Kelly, Vandervelde, Tobin

DE: Cox, Thornton, Curry, Hart, Kruger
NT: Logan, Allen
ILB: Kendricks, Ryans, Goode, Matthews
OLB: Barwin, Cole, Smith, Graham, Braman
CB: Williams, Fletcher, Boykin, Carroll, Watkins
S: Jenkins, Allen, Wolff, Reynolds, Maragos

K: Spear
P: Jones
LS: Dorenbos

Yeah, could be fun. I think the vast majority of the spots are spoken for, but 90 is a lot of guys.

OK. Here is my go. I will include Sproles in as WR for the hell of it, because I think they are going to keep a lot of backs, and I am rooting for Josey to make the team.

QB: Foles, Sanchez, Barkley
RB: McCoy, Polk, Josey, Tucker
WR: Maclin, Cooper, Sproles, J. Matthews, Huff, Benn
TE: Ertz, Celek, Casey
OL: Peters, Mathis, Kelce, Herremans, Johnson, Barbre, Kelly, Vandervelde, Josh Andrews (beats out Bamiro and Tobin)

DE: Cox, Thornton, Curry, Hart, Kruger
NT: Logan, Allen
ILB: Kendricks, Ryans, Goode, Phillips, ACQUISITION (I think we get rid of Graham and acquire a veteran at ILB before the season begins)
OLB: Barwin, Cole, Smith, Braman
CB: Williams, Fletcher, Boykin, Carroll, Watkins
S: Jenkins, Allen, Wolff, Reynolds

K: Spear (We agree, hooray)
P: Jones
LS: Dorenbos

Practice Squad: Burton, Graf, Kaddu, T. Long, Fluellen, Pratt, Mays, Bamiro (pretty sure he has one year of PS eligibility left)

What do you think happens with Jake Knott? Also, I have O and D splitting the 50 non-ST slots down the middle, whereas you have the more traditional 24 O and 26 D. I figure Chip will want as many guys available to contribute offensively as possible.

Knott is still eligible to practice and play in the preseason games, so if he impresses, it's possible they keep him despite the 4 game suspension to start the year.

That sounded like an honest mistake. I imagine Chip will put more effort into making sure all the guys follow a stricter dietary/supplement regimen, because losing 4 games to ignorance of a supplement that probably didn't even include all of its ingredients on the label is a highly preventable screw-up, albeit a sad, unfortunate one.

#Eagles and third-round pick Josh Huff officially agree to terms on a four-year contract. One down, six to go.
That was pretty quick.

Other teams have been signing guys all day. With the new slotting system, there's not many negotiations anymore.

I'd be happy if McCoy would shut his trap. There are ways of supporting teammates and being on social media without being THAT GUY.

Seriously, you could never take this loudmouth anywhere. He's back at it again claiming Brown will win the RB job in Buffalo.

I liked him when he came into the league because he seemed so level headed, so quiet and modest. One of my friends ran into him at Pitt while we was walking his dog and he was awesome.

Now he seems like a ****-stirrer

Back in about 2006 McCoy was on a recruiting visit at PSU and almost got his ass kicked by Michael Robinson. Story is that McCoy stepped on the logo in the locker room, decided he was above the tradition, and refused to do the ten pushups. Captain Robinson confronted him but they were separated before it got ugly. And it would have been ugly for 18 year old Mccoy going against 23 year old Robinson.

Oh you mean this Michael Robinson?

Yeah that would have gone poorly for Shady. Still wish Penn St. were able to get him though.

I miss Michael Robinson. I liked him a lot on Penn State. I believe he converted to a RB and was playing for SF the last time I remember seeing him.

I guess you didn't watch the superbowl this year. He had a 7 yard reception for the Seahawks. Anyways, He was awesome for us. I wish we were able to see that PSU team vs. Texas or SC, but then we wouldn't have seen that Texas v SC classic.

Yeah, didn't that hit break his neck or something? I seem to recall it being a career ending injury.

Speaking of Penn State, they have the number 2 recruiting class right now behind Alabama. Seems like that new coach is good at recruiting.

He's a dynamic recruiter, he pulled top 25 classes on the regular at Vandy these last few years. He salvaged most of their class last year after the coaching change, they lost a DT from NY to Florida who was highly rated/recruited but gained a WR from Jersey who was the same plus some other players to round out a top 25 class in short time. This year with time he's just mopping up PA, NJ, & the DMV right now. The class shouldn't end up top that high though when all is said & done but top 8-10 is definitely a possibility. They're filling their class up pretty quickly compared to other programs at the moment with 16 commits in the fold & it's kind of unknown what the total will be at the moment most guess anywhere from 20-25 players in this class.

I would only be skeptical of his coaching at this point which I don't think you'll get a good feel for this year because of the best talent on the roster has only a year in or is just entering the program & the depth is pretty bad at certain key positions due to the sanctions. They do have a good looking QB in Hackenberg so who knows but I wouldn't count on them being good next year.

Must not be healthy if they needed a roster spot and cut him instead of slop like Momah, Murphy, and Pratt.

I thought I read somewhere that Momah had progressed well the past year. Interested to see if he improved.

I'm not holding my breathe. He was so stiff, DB's were running the routes better than he was.
