You want to call up Richter and Purinton?

Leetch and Beukeboom aren't walking through that door. Team defense has not been the issue. The powerplay and bad breaks have.

I've got no problem with Rozsival and honestly, I don't know why people do: he's been the Rangers' best defenceman over the last two years. That's more of an indictment of the Rangers' blueline than it is of Michal. You can't blame him that he's a solid second-pairing d-man asked to play 25+ minutes on a team with no first-pairing d-men. Hell, I think he acquits himself fairly well in his situation. On any other team, we'd consider him an inspired pickup, considering he cost us nothing.

Malik, on the other hand, was brutal again against the Senators. Like Bobo Mironov, I thought he was underrated in his first season with the Rangers. Like Bobo, his play in his second season has really dropped off.

I agree with you on Rozsival. He can take the body, and can rack up some points. His +/- is awesome and not to mention, he isn't as bad as people paint him out to be defensive. He is a bargain for what he does and frankly, is still fairly young.

His problem this season has been consistancy, and a predilection to defer to Jagr whenever he gets the puck. It seriously affects his decision making, especially on the power play. You can literally watch him hesitate in confusion before passing it off to Jagr.

Thats the worst part. I am afraid that pace might even pick up some. The harder we lean on a smaller group of people, the more likely it is that we will get more and more injurys.

With Roszival out there 29 minutes in stead of 20, the odds of him getting injured increases with more then 50%. Its also late in the season and players are more worn out ect.

The injurys are bad at so many levels...

Why can't I find an official announcement of the Cally call up?

Anyone have a link?
