I don't think so. If a Seattle team got added to the Pacific they would play 30 games against the East, 21 games against the Central, and 31 against the other seven Pacific teams.

So they would play three of those teams five times, and four of them four times. 15 + 16 = 31.

The league's not going to force Detroit back to the West. They fought tooth and nail for several years to be in the East.

Thanks for the info. I have a degree in neuroscience so I didn't need the "lesson". It's not nearly as simple as you're making it out to be. Tracts run all over the brain and furthermore, grey matter from the ventral horn through the midbrain, hindbrain, forebrain to the frontal and even parietal lobes are involved in motor function. The brain isn't all that compartmentalized. It's more then plausible and not uncommon for brain damage (from say a concussion) to cause motor impairment.

This.
I didn't know that I could have issues remembering things, have light sensitivity, headaches, dizziness, and trouble walking straight at times all at once.
Oh wait I did and suffer from post concussion syndrome as a result of a concussion 4.5 years ago. I wonder how Pronger is doing as well.
Even people who have had concussions don't seem to realize how it can affect people and how every case can be different. The ignorance related to concussions can really bug me at times.

I rather Bettman & the NHL to start looking to relocation for some these teams who aren't making & haven't done so double digit years than add some new franchises.

I think 30's already big number, how much more do we need & is there enough talent to go around?

I have no doubts about Seattle, Quebec, etc. being good markets that can make money but why not just cut the fat instead?

Interesting. I didn't know there was a penalty for being tackled/mugged/jumped on. Regardless, Pacioretty got called for it

I know there were extenuating circumstances, but Briere over Vinny may have changed the outcome of the Flyers/Rangers series.

Would the Flyers have been able to fit Briere's pre-buyout contract under the cap?

Chara never seems to play that well in the playoffs. Seidenberg was their best defensemen during both their SCF runs.

Pierre complaining about officiating being too tight for a game seven. All games should be called the same regardless. One thing that's always bothered me.

That's the third time that's been called in the playoffs. What a joke.

EDIT: Although, after seeing the replay, the snow shower was pretty unnecessary.

I thought it was a good call. Marchand had no reason to do it whatsoever.

Yeah I saw the replay and edited my post . The other ones that were called were incredibly weak.

They called it in that series too!? I know they called it on Foligno against the Pens and I think they called it against the Kings when they were playing the Sharks.

I'm not sure exactly. Maybe, but it probably would have been tight. His salary hit was 2 million higher than Vinny's.
