Wings' Hasek finished for the season

http://www.detnews.com/2004/wings/04...ings-60608.htm

I hope this eliminates any discussion about whether or not Hasek belongs in the same field as Roy and a few other select greats. Roy didn't go out in a blaze of glory like Hasek had a chance to, but he also went out with class. Now Hasek didn't go out in a blaze of glory or with class.

Too bad Holland wasn't able to trade Joseph earlier this year. While Legace isn't a bad goaltender, he's got about as much playoff experience as Aebischer.

Pray that the Wings play Joseph come playoff time. Legace is MUCH better.

I think they have 9 million reasons why he'll play.

Yeah, that worked out to about $2.25 million per playoff game he participated in last year.

Honestly, I think he is just giving up. He is mad that he isn't the starter right now, and so he says he is done for the year.

someone on ESPN wrote a great article recently. in the article he tells how hasek walked out and gave up on the sabres, how he demanded to be traded for little or else he would just retire and the sabres would get nothing, how he has constantly faked injuries his whole career, basically just how much of a loser he is. It wouldn't have suprised me at all if the wings traded cujo and hasek's injury "magically" got better(i'm not talking now, i'm taking earlier in the season).
