Well... i keep teetering between thinking we are good and just about to make a run, and then thinking that we suck and are packing it in. So what is it?

I think it speaks volumes about this season that I have to answer 'I'm not sure' on March 17.

Though I don't think we suck, we're not that bad, but we can be well below average on any given night and well above average on another. Matter of degree to me.

I'm not sure is the story of this season.

Some nights we are definitely a good team, some nights we just suck.

The Canes are good at being inconsistent.

Sucking, Being good and under or over achieving are all different things.

They've been playing pretty well ever since they had that long break.

A game like todays shows you what this team is capable of when they all show up. No, they do not suck. They are a very talented team that is underachieving.

consistently inconsistent. That's about the only thing I can say about this team. Not good, not bad, just inconsistent.

I'll say this after the last few games...we might, just may be, turning a corner in our play. We're getting to loose pucks and making breaks much better, and the d has really stepped up into the play in the other zone, gotta think thats part of it.

After our last stretch of games, I am beginning to think that we MIGHT just MIGHT be coming into our game at the right time. Seems like we are starting to play harder, and people are starting to get healthy.

On a slightly related note, let's not forget when we had to root for this:

Quote:
RW 92 Jeff O'Neill
C 10 Ron Francis
LW 24 Sami Kapanen
C 17 Rod Brind'Amour
LW 23 Martin Gelinas
RW 25*Shane Willis
D 8 Sandis Ozolinsh
D 45 David Tanabe
LW 13 Bates Battaglia
RW 19 Rob DiMaio
C 63*Josef Vasicek
D 2 Glen Wesley
D 5 Marek Malik
D 4 Kevin Hatcher
D 33 David Karpa
C 16 Tommy Westlund
D 7*Niclas Wallin
RW 38 Scott Pellerin
RW 11 Jeff Daniels
LW 20 Darren Langdon
G 1 Arturs Irbe
RW 27*Craig Adams
D 14 Steve Halko
C 36*Greg Koehler
D 53*Greg Kuznik
D 18 Mike Rucinski
G 31 Tyler Moss
Anyone remember what the lines and pairings were back then? I'd like to compare them to our current lines.
