I heard the "butts kicked" part and nearly died laughing. I can't stand Jack Edwards -- the dude who does the away games -- but I loved that line.

Guru..

Shanny returns and where does Cally go? I am thinking replacing Ortmeyer, but is Renney thinking that. I'd rather see him in HFD at this point as opposed to a fourth line though. We'll see Wednesday - this may just be a tease.

Trust me Ola, they are arguably the biggest homers in the league. Check the thread in the NHL talk about homer announcers an their names are up there. Tonight, there is really nothing they can say, there's no way to spin this beatdown

thought the same thing, was SORT of, SORT of hoping the Rangers would give up a fluky one at the end of the 2nd to make that an easier decision

The best was either last year or the year before, it was Yankees against Tampa, in Tampa, and the Yankees just kept clobbering on runs. They were up like 15-3, and they come back from a commercial break and Michael Kay was like welcome back to Yankees baseball, where we've totally lost count of the score. If you're keeping score at home, please seek help immediately. It was hilarious.

Or the Isles/Leafs last year, when Toronto slaughtered them 8 or 9 to 4...

Toronto scored their 8th goal, and Howie Rose said one of the funniest things I've ever heard a hockey analyst say and goes... "And Welcome To Indoor Soccer..."

In terms of pure shock value, no one beat Mike Lange before he was "demoted" - the way they treated him was ******, because he was fired and then asked to be a radio guy - he was the hands down best.

Rick Jeanerette is a close 2nd though... things like "Scoooooorrrrre! Paul Gaustad, The Goose Is On The Loose!" Or "Cookieeeeeeeee Monster! Daniel Briere, what a goal!" He's ridiculous.

I fully agree. And while we're at it, bench Jagr and anyone else who is banged up. No reason to risk any injuries in a blowout like this.

Shutouts are a team stat as much as a goaltender stat....

Agree.. Shutout means very little... Henrik is playing great and i think everyone realizes that. At this point, you take any chance you get to give guys like him a break.

Also, you play guys like Liffiton, Callahan and whoever a lot. Jagr, and anyone else banged up should play very little imo.

Would expect to see Callahan sent down when Shanny is back. I know it may not be popular to some people, but that would be expected.

There is an outside shot that they move Ortmeyer to the 4th though and sit Orr while getting Callahan on the third line.

I loved Liffiton dropping the gloves. Seeing Adam Hall refuse to stand up for this team made me sick.

Liffiton stepped up and showed that he have the goods, good fight too.

I am not the biggest Liffiton fan, as a ordinary player he got some flaws. But for a enforcer, he is a pretty good D.

With Straka DTD, Cally will probably stay around until he can come back.. unless that puts us over the maximum number of players...

I think Shanny replaces Isbister on the Jagr line......

I know it sounds like a good idea, but it's a bit disrespectful to Lundqvist. He's played great for 40, let him finish up the last 20. Or at least wait until one goal is scored

Interesting thought, SoS...

unconventional, but interesting. I'd love to see some guys, like Jagr and Rozsival, get some rest in the third too.

There's about a zero chance Lundqvist gets rest, but this season, as opposed to last season, he seems to be a lot better with the extra workload and seems like he'll be able to handle starting through the end of the season.

Ahhhh....

can you believe I totally forgot about Isbister? And of course I forgot that Straka may miss a game or two. Man, a couple weeks removed from this team and I'm lost...
