WOW this team played good tonight!!!!!!!! Great effort all around
I hope Robidas is OK and was just stunned by the shot, and that Nashville hating piece of Crap Modano breaks the US scoring record in Nashville at least he walked away a loser tonight.
would robidas have pulled up had toots not spun around to punch him, don't think so. the third man simply got caught coming in rather than delivering a blow. to bad robidas is hurt, but if toots doesn't throw a punch it could just as easily have been him laid out. not like simon having several seconds to premeditate an action. if robidas isn't hurt, then we laugh at how he got punked trying to blindside toots and failing miserable.
He was being (Tootoo) charged at and reacted just like anyone else would this is nothing like the Chris Simon incedent.
Except that charging requires 3 strides, which never happened.
You're right, though. This is nothing like the Chris Simon incident. Simon retaliated for a guy hitting him. Tootoo suckerpunched and cold cocked a guy who stands at about 5'9" who hadn't even touched him.

Gutless piece of s--t.
tootoo is 5'9 himself...just saying.
And charging is also any hit that involves a player leaving his feet...which Robidas did.

This is a warning to all those involved in this thread. Excessive name calling of Jordin Tootoo, regardless of whether he deserves it or not, will NOT be tolerated. Call him names on Dallas' GDT thread, not here. It's only going to start trouble. Any perceived attempts to flaming will not be tolerated either.

I'm pretty sure he pulled up expecting a fight, not a suckerpunch to the face. If you can't see that, you need to step back and view it as something other than a homer.
If a Stars played pulled something like that, I'd never want to see them wear a Dallas uniform again.
What this all comes down to is: Tootoo, not satisfied with roughing Modano nonstop behind the play, then delivering a late-ish hit on him, decided to punch someone square in the face.
[Edit: It's also funny how it's a bad thing to talk about the guy who did the cheapshot, but apparently it's perfectly fine for people to talk about "laughing" at the guy who just got brutally concussed]

well the refs didn't call a roughing or charging on toots for the check on madano. he got the double minor for the punch on robidas which robidas also got a charging minor(check the box score-1 for the punch and 1 for the injury). of course i am sure you are no homer and know far more than the me or the refs regarding these things. the point being if toots simply covers up instead of throwing a punch then robidas gets a roughing/charging and toots gets nothing. the only reason toots gets a double minor at all is that he connected on a lucky/wild turn & punch. i guess after a legal, non penalized check he was simply supposed to let robidas charge right over him. again nobody wants an injury, but i simply think it was self-defense reaction to someone skating full speed right at him.

He said if Robidas hadn't gotten hurt then it would be a laughing matter.
I haven't seen a video of the incident, but from whats being said it sounds like Tootoo will get a suspension. Theres no need for suckerpunches in our game.
Anyway, good to see Nashville get back on track with a win.
