First, we need to get some pics back as we know how the Rangers like to trade two for one to move up... Are there any other picks that we have traded that I'm missing from prior moves??


We had 11 in 2004, 9 in 2005, 7 in 2006....

i would expect to see one or two prospects that the rangers won't need traded for maybe later picks, then package for higher ones.

maybe jarkko will be dealt...maybe dwight

should be able to get a 4th for both of them...maybe a little more as well.

i would really like to pick up a 4th round pick to draft a goalie.

Even iif its only 7 rounds of drafting, 5 picks are not enough.

lets see if sather can fetch us a 4th maybe a 3rd for Malik...

id take a 7th round for malik, maybe we can get another prucha, hollweg, lundqvist pick in the late rounds. the money malik makes no one would offer a 3rd or a 4th for him.

with you guys. We need at least a pick every round. Down the road is when it begins to haunt you. The meat of our previous picks were in the 3rd to 5th rounds. As well as our diamonds in the rough found later. Unless we get some picks back from some of our Dmen(such as Malik), this trend is getting worse since no purges are on the way..

I don't see us trading any of our forwards and we are stable in goal(despite the possible loss of Weekes) and on D(we likely lose Pock). Maybe we trade Malik, but who else.

Unless we trade down and accumulate picks, we're stuck..

where did we lose our 2007 4th round pick??

correction: in the sykora deal we got back our 2007 4th round pick from the ducks, originally sent to them in the rucchin deal...

and to be fair on 'losing' the 3rd round we got bourret for that pick so we lost a 3rd round pick for a 1st round prospects, not a bad swap

The Rangers slected Tomas Zaborsky with that pick from Vancouver

The Rangers have young players coming out of the wazoo with all of the previous selections.Somehow they will manage.The 3rd round pick was used to acquire a former 1st round pick so lets not make it seem like the rebuild/retooling is over because the Rangers don't have a 3rd and 4th round pick in June's draft

Exactly! Bottom line here.....this is a pretty solid organization for the first time in a long time. They have a plan...contrary to popular belief...and it involves alot of homegrown, and YOUNG talented players, that isn't going to change!

We had 11 in 2004, 9 in 2005, 7 in 2006....

Sather will trade down in the early rounds to pick up a 3rd and 4th. He always does this.
