Something I noticed was how much whining to the refs the Rangers were doing on the ice. I don't know if they do this often but it was pretty much non-stop in this game.

****'s sake, in the Q we had just enough to buy some St-Hubert chicken a 750$ daily meal allowance? Do they pay for their own hotels?

The Desharnais line was lights out tonight. Gallagher was a possessed man. He made some nice passing plays which we rarely see out of him and was winning all of his battles. Remember when Carbo said he wish he had a team full of Kostopoulos, if we had 12 Gallaghers, I would never bash a Hab player ever again.

People point the finger at Pleks, and I get that, he hasn't had a strong series. However, and this is a big however, he was our BEST forward against Tampa, and he shut down Krejci in round 2 like a boss. The only forward imo who has stepped up their play in the 3rd round is Pacioretty.
Not many people said he was our best forward while we were playing them..... I think Bourque was getting most of the praise.

Annnnnnnd I think you'd have to share those accolades with Eller. Plekanec was primarily used against Bergeron's line IIRC.

Habs need to find an answer for the rangers forcheck, but just when you think the habs breakout is hopeless, they pull off a couple beautiful short passes in stride to manufacture the opportunity.

Gallagher and Eller have been amazing. That's why the kid/EGG line needs a chance. Chucky is (apart from that fluke) being totally wasted right now.

I'm wondering if we should put Bournival and/or Moen in there. Honestly, Vanek is a no show, so...

He's made Krejci his ***** for consecutive series now. But I think posts/crossbars also played a big role here

I was convinced Rangers would score in the first two minutes. So convinced that I was shocked and didn't celebrate when we won

I know PJ stock did for sure, MT had to go with Tokarski, I was shocked as hell when he did in game 2, but he had no choice, we all know Budaj can't win a cup, the rookie has potential that MT had to take a risk on. Its still a long series but that game was very reminiscent of the game during the regular season when Tokarski beat Anahiem 2-1 almost single hand idly.

Is the NHL website anti-Habs? The score there is still 2-2.

Hanky just showed the Habs how to win against him.

He hasnt been sharp on his rebound control. The Habs just have not had very good net presence.

Go hard to the net and stop in front. Juicy rebounds will be coming.

We haven't had a quality game out of the officiating staff yet this series.
Kind of strange because with only two series left we should be getting the best?

Awesome win.

Tokarski the man.

Hoping the Rangers magic will start cooling off a bit now...

... and that the Habs will get some more juice back by Sunday.

Hockey in late May.

Vanek is a complete passenger, yet like Briere, he's been there to put up points at key times. Both are frustrating to watch. Less so Briere because the expectations at this point are much lower. Both players just won't do much for the entire game and then score a goal or make an assist on a key play. Vanek has been disappointing, yet it's hard to hate when he's there on a key play.

Thing is, he gives those up on 90% of all our pretty pathetic shots. We just never cash. Well...almost never.

He played against Bergeron's line. Eller played primarily against Krejci's line.

Yeah, my sentiments as well. When you least expect it, he makes a great pass or pots a key goal. It's very frustrating, though!
