So has there been any more info on the look of the new Rangers jerseys? Some other boards have been talking about new color schemes and logos for their new sweaters...although it sounds they won't be officially unveiled until the summer.
I don't believe any team will use a third jersey next year. If we're lucky it will stay that way, though I doubt the league will pass up an opertunity to try and sell fans yet another ugly jersey.
I can only hope that the reason the rangers have been wearing their 'thirds' so much this year is becayse they won't have them next year. Why a team would pick the liberty abomination over a classic jersey with 70 years of history behind it is beyond me.
I thought the whole point of the visiting team wearing white was so that they only had to pack 1 jersey. I guess that means if/when they re-introduce the alternates they'll be white too then?
Too bad it's getting changed again...I liked that the "blueshirts" were wearing blue at home again the past couple seasons.
Anyone else think that we'll be winning the Cup next season for the sole reason of not having to wear those Liberty jerseys anymore? Our record in the 3rd's has got to be ridiculously bad. We constantly lose when wearing them. We cannot have more than 25 wins in 9 years of wearing them, and that is real bad. Thank god they'll be gone next year, if it's only for one season.
Same, everytime I go to the games I get sick when I see them.
We are a traditional team, having a third Jersey, especially one with the futuristic liberty look, is absurd. Do the Yankees have third jerseys? I think a club as classy as the Rangers don't need the gimmicks of a third jersey.
If it were neccessary that we have one, I'd go with the 70's style jerseys that they wore for a few games last year.
3rd jersey stinks. The coloring in terms of white for home or away doesn't matter much to me, although having white at home allows for you to see more veriety instead of having blue vs. white every game.
In terms of "Rags" I never use it and I think it's stupid. It's Rangers without the N GERS and I guess it means that they use us as a rag? IDK.
I've never liked them either. But the thing I never understood is why is the third jersey dark blue? The Rangers aren't that color. I never understood that. Two completely different blues. It's pretty dumb I think. Those new jersey's didn't look half bad. And I'm a HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE fan of whites at home. I think just the past few months I've FINALLY started getting used to seeing NHL teams wearing their dark jerseys at home. But I haven't liked that either. Football is the only sports where darks should be worn at home. End of story.
Im probably out of the loop here, but where does it confirm that home teams next year will wear white? It's funny, because Ive always loved the Rangers wearing blue at the Garden, but for every other team it seemed better when they wore white at home.
