If we win tomorrow I'm gonna start feeling pretty good about our chances. 5-4 over the last 9 sounds pretty doable.

I really wanted to see the team with a nice even 80 points after this week but I can deal with 79.

The good thing is that with a win against PIT tommorrow, we jump into the 7th spot. We'd have a 1 point cushion on CAR and 3 point cushions on NYI, TOR, and MTL. We'd also only be a point behind Tampa for the 6th spot.

As long as we can string together a few more wins, our chances become better and better.

At this point I'm not content with finishing 8th or 7th. I think we have a realistic shot at 6th place and playing/beating Atlanta (or whoever ends up 3rd)

And just a reminder, I've been voting yes to making the playoffs since the first poll of this sort over a month ago..

Don't forget, the Penguins are only two points behind the Devils, so they could end up with the No. 2 (or even No. 1) seed.

Good point, but I see them going on one of last years hot streaks to finish of the season. I really hope we don't have to play them first this season though. We have a much more realistic shot of beating Atlanta or even the other contenders
