Such an awesome player when he's moving his feet, don't give a **** about the 82 regular season games if he can do this in the playoffs.

Cammalleri has 13 goals in 19 games in 2010.
Bourque has 8 goals in 16 games. Good production for a so call 3rd liner! And 2 more in 5 games last playoffs.

Didn't he score the goal that chased Lundqvist?

Horton's a more dynamic player. Better at generating assists and a more accurate shot. But Bourque is similarly strong on the boards and puck like Horton.

He's faster than Horton too.

I'm one of the rare people who supported him this year. Yes he's been a no show some nights, but even as a no show he's as good as Moen or White, and when he's on top of his game he brings a lot. You don't get better for 3.3 millions in this day and age.

Kudos to him for showing up in the playoffs. He's always been a talented scorer, and that's what infuriates me the most. He could easily score 25+ goals a season if he really wanted to.

Rene Bourque, Beast Mode Activated!

Maybe someone who's better at Photoshop can make a better version.

I also like Bourque turning into a werewolf... that would be sick! Go Habs Go!

Bourque always brings it in the playoffs. If only we could find a way to keep him interested in the regular season.

In 1969 the Amazin' Mets overcame a 10 game deficit to the Chicago Cubs during the regular season and defeated the heavily-favored Baltimore Orioles to win the World Series.

45 years later, could the Montreal Canadiens be led to an unlikely Stanley Cup by The Amazin' Metis, Rene Bourque?

Stay tuned.

He's barely been in the playoffs in his career.

I'm glad he had an awesome game last night. And he was a beast against Tampa. Its never been a question of his tools, he's just so freaking inconsistent. If anything, he consistently sucks.

He's playing well right now. Great, play him. But this guy is like loose change found in an old jacket - its a bonus.

Nice to see him score and all but still a huge enigma, the dude so rarely shows up it no longer makes up for the times he does.

This is the kicker.
Borky has always shown up in my mind when it counts most.
He didn't have a long enough run last year to have a carry over effect into this season.
Next year could be very different.
Leave him with Lars give them a Gallagher and watch the fire works.
i wouldn't hesitate to play this line against anyone...

Now I know that you can't really compare these players in terms of speed, but in terms of being lethargic in the regular season, and being a big body force in the playoffs, don't you see parallels between Dustin Penner and Rene bourque ?

Nope, because Dustin Penner was never a force in the playoffs.
