Sheldon will stay in montreal imo as long as markov does, just a hunch but sheldon was speaking with fondness and humility about the last 7 years, how the team took him from NJ and gave him the opportunity where he is today, he loves the community and has a business interest in the area, sure his wife is in LA but if LA or any other club think that he is running out of montreal for the first chance i say "wrong", this is not pronger or samsonov

Souray is in a unique position to sign a huge contract but i think even he does not beleive he is the most important player on the roster and he does not give me the McCabe impression that if montreal does not offer the moon he is out of here

i am just saying, souray leaving is not a slam dunk

He also might be trying to get our hopes up before dropping the real bomb. Time will tell obviously, but I just think most people are too influenced by that tool Demers who commented during an intermission that Brodeur informed him about Souray's imminent departure. Please. I highly doubt first of all that what Marty heard from Sheldon is set in stone, and that they keep in touch like butt buddies during a season, as if they got nothing better to do than call eachother up at 3 in the morning. Also, the decisive factor is if we make the playoffs or not. I will assure you that if we move to the second round and lose in 7 Souray will stay put.

Souray also said that he hopes the next 7 years will be just as good...

wow, guess they are then

Markov and Souray are what keeps this team together, we need them both locked for the next 5 years, the onbly replacement good enough i see would be Boucher for Souray, but still without Souray we woudn't have scored that many goales in the powerplay a nd we would probably be eliminated right now

Apparently, Angelica Bridges is interested to live in Montreal (heard it on radio-x in quebec city).

I guess we have good chances to see Souray coming back with the team next year.
