Is it too late to fire Horachek?

As a Preds fan, it's hard to be surprised by a game like this. We are very, very hit or miss in key games with a lot on the line. We are just as likely to bring our 'F' game as our 'A' game. Not sure if that speaks to the teams leadership or if it just works out that way sometimes.

True, but we are missing 5 regulars (3 of our top scorers), and Ramzi Abid has become a mainstay on our scoring lines of late....

Daniel Sedin just took a monster dive....

The only forward playing consistently well tonight is Radulov. Kariya, Forsberg, Arnott....all completely invisible.

this blows

How can that not be called a dive? whats the point in having refs for home and away games, at home just have 6-7 powerplays and give the away team 2-3. would probably end up being about what it is now around the league.

Not really, I've noticed them.

Radulov bobbled the puck and gave up a good passing chance to an open kariya in front of the net.

Kariya has been strong along the boards and so has Forsberg. The whole team has been flat.

Calls have been pretty even. The refs missed a few blatant calls on both sides and it all balances itself out. The team that is behind in a game usually tends to get penalized more as they aren't controlling the play.

I was being overly dramatic. I'd question Trotz' sanity by firing Horacek this late in the season.

You'd defend Kariya if he just whacked a baby into the goal from the blue-line

I know what Kariya is capable of...and he's nowhere close tonight. He's having a bad game. Everyone has them. Yes the team is flat, but his role as a leader...and his paycheck...dictate that it's his job more than some of his other teammates' to see that the team becomes unflat.

As long as it counts as a goal, I can't complain.

Fiddler dives, but Morrison definitely hooked as well. A far cry from the earlier Sedin dive with no one even touching him.

wow, abid has a wide open net and somehow can't get it in

Now Fiddler gets called for diving, after Sedin gets away with an authentic dive.

I mean, we have a better chance of scoring 4-4 than if we had a PP, anyway, but it's the principle.

The funny thing is that aside from those two backbreaker goals that took us completely out of it, it's been a MOSTLY even game.

Wow, how is that a call on Kariya?

Too many penalties tonight. Everything we are doing is getting whistled....Of course, it doesn't help when the entire team is playing flat.

back to the box, after kariya spoils what would have been a nice zone entry by sending a quick pass to three canucks.

Well, this one is over. The team has lost it tonight. How many minors have we taking this period? 3? 4? Ugh....

What a shame - this matchup usually produces some stellar hockey games.

Bulis just took another monster dive. That is two absolutely horrendous dives that have went the wrong way on us....
