No breaks what so ever tonight. You aren't going to beat a quality goalie like Luongo with this effort.

To Calgary we go..

Hey guys, whats the deal with Zidlicky playing forward? Isn't he usually a regular in your guys' top 4? Do you think he would be available in the offseason?

Don't get me wrong, I like that fact that we're getting some more PP time, but honestly, WHAT WAS THAT CALL. This is getting just downright stupid with these calls. Bieska hardly did anything to Zidlicky. How is that fun to watch?

because we have no more forwards to call up, and 7 defensemen.

Oh ok, that makes sense. This call up rule is retarded. It is definately hurting the Oilers right now as well.

The officiating is pretty bad tonight....on both sides though, so I guess at least it's even.

Zidlicky is playing forward because Hartnell, Sullivan, Erat, Nichol, and Tootoo are all out....

We're just too weak upfront to do anything what so ever. The team look defeated the second they walked onto the ice.

And of course no one steps up to carry the team.

Salo and Mitchell, 2 of their top 3 d-men
We are missing Kesler
you guys are missing Hartnell, Erat, and Sullivan.
you guys are missing Tootoo.

If you'll notice, we had to convert a defenseman into a forward just to fill our roster.

Sullivan and Erat is a third of our top six, bumping RAMZI FREAKING ABID into the top six. Sullivan and Erat are both also key PP contributors...in fact...so is Hartnell, who at the time of his injury was our leading goal scorer. You neglected the second best faceoff guy in the league(at time of injury) and a key PK guy(though that was the one area we were pretty dominant, tonight) in Scott Nichol.

I'm not trying to trivialize the Canucks injuries here, but it's pretty hard to compare...

Two or our top three defencemen are out.

That is a huge loss. The whole team now has to lean on the defense of Ohlund and Bieksa and Brent Freaking Sopel.

I mean hell the preds still have Foppa, Kariya, Radulov, Dumont, Arnott -- that's not enough firepower?

Krajicek, Fitzpatrick and Edler round out our D-corps. Come on man...

That's part of the reason the Canucks are successful. There is no one line that we rely on. Let's face it, we have a severe lack of top 20 scorers. But the whole team contributes, the whole team skates, all lines can score. We can take injuries and still win because someone else will be there to take their spot.

But Krajicek and Fitzpatrick have been regulars in your lineup throughout the year, have they not?

Nashville has 5 20+ goal scorers(i think Buffalo is the only other team with as many), and two more with nearly 20(erat 17, dumont 19) so the scoring is definitely balanced. Of those 20+ guys, 2 of them are out, and another of the almost-20s is out, as well. all semblance of chemistry is lost when you're missing huge chunks of your line up and every line is trying to learn to play with each other. And it doesn't help that the guys you're trying to learn to play with are Ramzi Abid and a 5th ever NHL game Rich Peverley.

I'm not blaming the loss on injuries, but to say they're a wash is a stretch, too.

Krajicek, Fitzpatrick, and Edler are # 6, 7, 8 on the Canucks depth chart
