I just cant understand why Renney sat Dubinsky last night and when he's played it seems like he is being benched. I dont care if Callahan had two goals last night, Dubinsky to me by far has shown more. I like both of them a lot and think they both should have been playing but I just see more in Dubinsky, and I cant understand why he doesnt get ice time. He's hustled, thrown his body around, and seems to be in the right position a lot for scoring opportunities.

Its hard, I like what I've seen from the youth. I like Liffiton, he's tough defenseman and he hasnt played that bad. Pock has been great this season, another guy that I cant understand why Renney doesnt give him the ice time he deserves. Girardi has been flat out amazing, who woulda thought he would develop this quickly to be this good? And I'd hate to see Dubinsky and Callahan get sent back down. Its just gonna be tough decisions that will have to be made as to who stays up and who goes down.

why do the rangers intend to play isbister instead of bringing up dawes...if they do that and combining shanny's return, they'd have very good 4 lines

prucha-nylander-jagr
avery-straka-shanahan
dawes-cullen-callahan
hollweg-betts-ortmeyer

If everyone was healthy I'd go with:

Hossa-Nylander-Jagr
Shanahan-Straka-Avery
Prucha-Cullen-Ortmeyer
Hollweg-Betts-Orr

Malik-Rozsival
Tyutin-Girardi
Rachunek-Mara

Lundqvist
Weekes

I sure hope most of you are right about Hossa.

It's unfortunate he got hurt just as he was gaining more and more confidence.

To see his name mentioned so often as the first line left wing would have been unimaginable at the beginning of the season.

Well, he is a polarizing topic. Look one post above yours and Hossa is mentioned as a first liner. Look one post above that one and he's not even on the roster. Looks like people are still pretty divided on this guy.

To some degree he still has detractors(which is not at all unreasonable), but I doubt devilsfan30 has watched the Rangers as much as you guys have.

It just would have been more reassuring for the future if he hadn't gotten hurt and had able to continue his much improved- performance.

i watch but not as much as the devils obviously. but i meant dawes over isbister until hossa comes back. when hossa comes back, prucha goes back on the 3rd line.

Okie-dokie, but the premise of the thread was to construct lines assuming alll our guys were healthy.

That's why the omission of Marcel on any line was a little startling.

that's right. my fault. if you have all your guys healthy and make the playoffs, you'd be dangerous.

.

I'm still not a Hossa believer until he continues to score like this away from Jagr.

As for my lines (assuming all is healthy)

Hossa - Straka - Jagr
Shanahan - Nylander - Prucha
Avery - Cullen - Callahan
Hollweg - Dubinsky - Orr

would instruct Dubinsky to go out play sound defensively and take the body and when the opportunity is there to create some offence, but to mind the defensive responsibilities first, just do not shirk the offensive game.

Hossa - Straka - Jagr
Avery- Nylander - Shanahan
Prucha - Cullen - Ortmeyer
Hollweg/Ibister/Dubinsky/Orr - Betts- Callahan

The last spot is difficult to choose. I would go with Dubinsky though - having Ibister or Orr as a reserve depending on the team we are playing.

Rozsival - Malik
Tyutin - Girardi
Rachunek - Mara

It would be a different response if we were talkign about the start of next year, but for the PO run and the POs, it would be...

Hossa-Straka-Jagr
Shanny-Nylnader-Callahan
Avery-Cullen-Prucha
Hollweg-Betts-Orts.

However, I wouldn't mind some mixing and matching depending on the opponent..I like Dubinsky, but I wouldn';t be willingto play him at C right now over andy of the other 4 HEALTHY centers for the POS..But he would be by next guy in, followed by Isbister...

D is pretty straigh forward, you play Rachuineky and Toots, and you sit Pock/Liffitonn/Strudwick..

All moot poins becasue don't think we will see a healthy roster..

True... But Avery and Shanahan also looked very good together and seemed to have that extra bit of chemistry.

Regardless, i think Cally is sitting on Weds when they play the Flyers... It will be all hands on deck in terms of Orr, Hollweg, Ortmeyer, and anyone else who likes to play physical.

I've seen BETTS missing from a few of these line-ups...Do you really think that's possible or just a wish/hope? .IMO, there's not a snow balls chance in hades that Renney wouldn't use him and his PK, FO, speed and defensive awareness during the PO push/POs and tight defensive games every night..Again, next year is another story..

I think Betts is fine as a 4th line center... The guy hustles, works hard, wins faceoffs, is good on the PK. And can even score a goal here and there. Cant pass for his life, and lacks any vision, but those are things you can live with out of a 4th line center.

Straka-Nylander-Jagr
Shanahan-Avery-Callahan
Prucha-Cullen-Ortmeyer
Hollweg-Betts-Orr

Extra would have to be Hossa simply because the others are playing too well

Sorry - instead maybe like this:
Straka - Nylander - Jagr
Callahan - Avery- - Shanahan
Prucha - Cullen - Hossa
Hollweg/Ibister/Orr - Betts- Ortmeyer

The last spot is difficult to choose. I would go with Ibister and with Orr/Hollweg as a reserve depending on the team we are playing. Need to have 2 tough guys playing each game. Strudwick can be counted as a tough middleweight. Against cheapshot experts you need Orr. Hollweg needs to pick up his offensive production - but his portrayed defensive skills are there doubtlessly.

Rozsival - Malik
Tyutin - Girardi
Rachunek - Mara

Strudwick
