I was thinking about this issue this morning. I'm not a huge Skrastins fan anyway, but I'm concerned about how his return will affect the D's current chemistry and style of play, particularly if paired back with Clark. Not only does Skrastins dive and flop, but it seems to encourage Clark to do the same.

IMO, I think the best thing is to scratch Rycroft, play Klee on the 4th line and give Skrastins some minutes with Vanny or possibly Liles. That way, if things aren't looking too great, Klee is still in the lineup to switch back to D.

However, I doubt that has much chance of happening. I look for him to be back with Clark and either Vanny or Finger scratched.

According to the NHL those three OT losses aren't "losses" but rather "winless" games.

So, we're at .500 now for "winning games on the road". Even the OTL can't play semantics now.

So send Finger back to Albany and pair Scratch with Liles.

I don't care what NHL.com says, an OTL means the other team gets a win. You still get a point so its better than a loss, but everyone will have a few OTL so the almost cancel each other out. It still counts as a loss in my book.

i will get off my soap box now.

Just what this team needs. A guy who can't stay on his feet and play well positionally and a guy who is too small to be anything more than average defensively while at the same time not being about to make up for Mr. Fish's constant flopping. Keeping Skrastins as far away from the lineup is the only option at this point that will see the team continuing to win.

Id rather keep Finger. I like Skrastins, he's one of my favourite Avs, but our D has been great and were seeing good things from Finger. This is one of tose times where managment has a big decision, I hope they make the right one.

Did anyone see what Arnason had to say about the kiss?

French Kiss

A plus goes to Ian Laperierre, who is cleary secure in his manhood. After Tyler Arnason set him up for a beauty, Laperierre said thanks in his own special way, with a buss on the cheek.

"That was a French… not a french kiss, but a kiss from a French guy, you know."

"You gotta take what you can get, I guess," said Arnason. "Ya, we've been on the road a lot."

Peter Budaj also received a plus for his play as of late

If Arnie had set Lappy up for the hat-trick, I could only imagine the post-game interview.
Reporter: "Tyler, is that a hickie on your neck?"
Arnie: Smiling sheepishly "Yeah."
Reporter: "How did it get there? I didnt see it during the pre-game warm-ups."
Arnie: "Well, you see, I set Lappy up for a hat trick. The first goal was just a man-hug, the second he gave me a pretty sloppy neck washing, and on the third...well.... you can see for yourself. "
