Wow, good thing hockey is becoming more popular now that Gary Bettman has litigated much of the fighting out of the game. Focus groups do indicate that people who frequent Manhattan cocktail parties would prefer a clean contest to the old time hockey we used to love. The interest in this is an aberration. People were cheering because they longed to see some Euro-wuss demonstrate a perfect salkow, not because they were enjoying the on-ice spectacle of gore.

I really have to question how pro-fighting you are when you spell "salkow" correctly.

Fedoruk apparently has a plate in each cheek. I hope they don't have to fix it. Not a smart move by Fedoruk. He should be fighting Avery and let Eager go with Orr.

It looks like Orr made sure he didn't slam his head on the ice, too. Looks like he let him down, knowing that he knocked him out.
