Baranka and Taylor out for the rest of the season

Back to back season ending hand injuries for Baranka
Terrible news. I hope he comes into camp next year on a mission.

Got multiple requests to reopen this and think it's a headline that stands on it's own. Bump for those who haven't heard the news.

I guess this solidifies the idea that Staal will be going to the AHL after his season is completed rather than coming straight to NY.

Ivan sure seems snakebit at times. Hopefully he pushes for a job next training camp. A chance for Sauer or Staal if either of their junior teams take an early exit.

This continues to be the one thing that is haunting Baranka, he just can't stay healthy.

I know people were screaming for his call-up but the kid is just not getting the experience and being able to grow the way he should because he is hurt so often, even when he's not missing actual games.

This is exactly why I wasn't screaming for him to be called up yet and the sad thing is that it's only going to get harder as kid's stay healthier and thus develop their game.
