Glad to know Olver is looking great out there. Hopefully he keeps it up...I was 50/50 on him but if he is really showing some promising offensive skills out there then I'm starting to get excited.
No worries - I've just happened to be free when the games were on recently and I'm happy to share my observations.

As to questions on Olver and Jessiman, I would say both looked excellent tonight. Olver is fast, skilled and has great hockey sense. If he was bigger he'd have been a sure fire first rounder. His big challenge will be adding meat to his bones.

Jessiman was kinda the inspiration for my skating bear avatar. At times he can dominate on the puck like Jags/Hossa and he's a pretty good skater for a big fella - his game has all the subtlety of a freight train (which is not necessarily a bad thing). Like a young bear though (okay maybe I'm stretching the metaphor a bit here), there are times when his big body gets in its own way and he loses control. But he's definitely picking up his game and it looks like he is now a top 6 forward in HFD. I continue to have high hopes that he'll be a valuable NHL player some day.

I with ya. I always vote for him when we do the prospects votes at around 14 or 15. I think he will move up on our prospects list in the future.

UUUH nice to see Hannu Pikkarainen in Hartford! He was my favorite player in IFK Helsinki. Always make some nice moves. He got (+/-) -2 last game.

Hannu

Allie Boy is playing today

Quote:
Montoya, pulled in his previous two starts, was given the night off in preparation for today's game against the Bruins in Providence in what could be a first-round playoff preview
He didn't make the trip to Penn.Montoya was sent to Providence to be rested for the game today

Quote:
Wolf Pack assistant coach J.J. Daigneault said. "We thought that instead of bringing [Montoya] on the trip with us, we'd give him a rest and have him be ready [today] in Providence"

I've said this before and I will repeat it now, taller and physically bigger players take time to get acclimated to their bodies. I know this may sound stupid, but I believe it to be true. I was just as impatient with the rest of this year with Jessiman. Though I did not think it was skill related. I think it had more to do with living a privilege life growing up and not understanding that now in the pro game it makes no difference who you are or how much money daddy has, but rather whether or not you will work hard enough to deserve your opportunities.

As a Pack fan, I can't stress how huge of a win that was. Especially without Montoya in goal.
