Montreal / Phoenix

To Montréal :

Keith Yandle, 27, 5,75 until 2016, would be the partner of PK Subban

To Phoenix :

Tomas Plekanec : 31, 5M until 2016, would be the #1 C between Doan and Boedker

Pure speculation...but i want to hear your thoughts

We need to downsize our salary cap, not make it go higher. Aside from that, we have Markov who can do a similar job without giving away huge assets.

Maybe but Markov's career is nearing the end. Isn't Yandle pretty much in his prime?

Also, by moving Plekanec, you open up a space for Galchenyuk at center.

You don't trade for players in their prime unless it's a bargain like Vanek.

Sign me up. Gorges is one I'd consider moving as well if we would land a player like Yandle

If it's one for one, I'd absolutely do that trade and I love Plekanec. I doubt Phoenix would, though.

The fick are you talking about? We gain 0.75 mil of salary to 6 mil of Markov. Plus we get younger and better.

Take that trade and run.

Yandle would be such a huge upgrade in speed alone.

Doesn't Yandle face the toughest competition in the league amongst defensemen? I would love to have him here

I would do Pleks + Gorges/Emelin for Yandle.

He is a player I have wanted on the Habs for a while.

And for people saying Markov can do a similar job.... come on... Yandle is much better and will be for much longer.

we're not trading plekanec...bergevin brought up his leadership qualities unpromptedly and he was the first of a few that he mentioned....when talking about leaders in the room after the gionta question.....he's staying. all these threads of trades happening with him are irrelevant and not going to happen....sorry.....i'd just like to turn the page to realism. he's our best center...we're not ready to dish him out.

I'd rather trade Eller + than Plekanec for Yandle.

I better start running now if I don't want to get crucified.

Old man Markov has nothing on Yandle.. Markov isn't 28 anymore.. he's not the All-Star we all wish he still was.

I would be 100% okay trading Plekanec + Emelin + a pick for Yandle..

Emelin and that contract...

Dat cap space..
