in no time during that period have the Rangers had so many injuries. And, sticks just aren't made like they used to. Finally, the cumulative effect of the fanbase has taken its toll on the players and they just can't hack it anymore.
But seriously...this team stopped playing for its coach a long time ago. I don't believe this bunch is as bad as their record shows, and I do believe they actually deserve better. Because of Sather, Leetch may end up retiring someplace else. That's reason enough to hate Sather.

There are plenty of reasons to hate Sather. One of the only good things to come out of this fiasco is that Sather's place in hockey history has been irreparably damaged. He will never escape the nay sayers who claim that he won his Cups riding the coat tails of his players rather than through any genius of his own.
Need we say anything more about Sather's failure as both coach AND GM? The team is getting WORSE rather than better.
Brooks made the same comment about our place in the standings relative to the date on the calendar. It's not just that they're worse, they're considerably worse.
Also loved this little jab,
Kovalev, who got a third-period PP goal on a left-point shot, has four points (2-2) while going minus-10 in his last 13 games. Messier, meanwhile, has one goal and five assists in 22 games this calendar year. How odd that the combination didn't work.
After Panger's "The Rangers SUCK" comment yesterday, seems like even the media has gone from being critical of the Sather to flat out mocking him. Sad.
