Regulation win is huge. We can really pull away from the Habs with a win tonite, and hope for the best when they play Ottawa and Buffalo.
The fishsticks don't have DP indefinitely, and with their difficult schedule ahead of them, hopefully they will fall off also.
Hopefully we sty hot, and can finally start pulling away from these teams on our heals. Is this game going to be shown on MSG?

BIG, BIG GAME! A win and we've nearly locked up a playoff spot. Plus 3 days off to rest up. What better way than to be on a 6 game winning streak!

Well once again we have the Biggest Game of the Year, well at least until the next one.

A regulation win and a little luck on the scoreboard watching goes a long way towards locking up a playoff spot.

Lundqvist, since Weekes is injured and Montoya does not seem to be in the plans for this year, we dont have a choice.

Unless we want to start Valiquette, and I doubt that.

Rangers need to stay out of the box tonight. The Habs powerplay is lethal.

BTW, anyone know if the game tonight will be streamed anywhere?

The last time the Rangers played in Montreal:

The special teams looked like this:

NYRangers .. Canadiens
(40 for 221) - 18.1% - 12th -- PP -- 2nd -- 22.9% - (41 for 179)
(41 for 228) - 82.0% - 18th -- PK -- 1st -- 87.9% - (27 for 223)
05
-- SHG -- 12

Now they look like:

NYRangers .. Canadiens
(72 for 382) - 18.8% - 7th -- PP -- 1st -- 22.6% - (79 for 349)
(314 for 372) - 84.4% - 8th -- PK - 14th -- 83.3% - (330 for 396)
10
-- SHG -- 17

Mtl went from 1st to 14th in PK, probably a result of their starter going down. But their PP has remained hot.

NYR have gotten steadily better on special teams and have to bring it tonight

Im mentioning this because i think it will be that sort of game again. The rangers have been in the box alot and it seems the Refs recently got a new memo from the league to step it up again before playoffs because weve seen a ton of garbage called.

The best way to stop Souray at the point is to not give them any PP's.

HUGE game. AGAIN!

All the winning, and it seems the Rangers still havent seperated themselves.

Toronto, Islanders and Canes all have a game in hand and only 4 points separate the Rangers in 6th to Toronto in 11th. This is getting absolutely crazy.

A win tonight would really really help the Rangers chances because it would give them more wins than all the teams except for Tampa including the games in hand - thats a big time jump.

Its funny, Renney 4 weeks ago said 89 points might do it, and the Rangers could get that many tonight, but i doubt itll be enough. I think 92 will secure it.
