Habs fan here, I hope the Habs win, but you can still make the playoffs with a loss tonight and that's what I hope since you're the only team in te playoff race i don't really hate (Too much respect for Shanahan) So I hope you lose against us, but good luck for the other games.

I liked the quick Glen Hanlon response.

Hes probably filing through his prospect records looking for a rookie named Hanlon.

Lmao....you don't hate us but you hope we lose . Don't worry, it's mutual. Henrik will dominate tonight.

As others have mentioned, five words sum up tonight "STAY OUT OF THE BOX"...

Not only does it keep Montreal's Potent home PP off the ice, it will allow Renney to make use of all his lines, and keep his better players fresh for the 3rd period (and OT and shootout!)

I thought we would lose one of the four road games, so a defeat here would not be crushing, but some points would be nice...

lol I hope you lose because you are facing my team, but i'd rather see the Rangers in the playoffs then Carolina, the Islanders or the Leafs, but as for tonight, it's war so I won't come back here or people are gonna think im trolling with all the tension

We definitely have to stay out of the box, but we've got the best PK guy in the NHL right now: Henrik Lundqvist. I know the fellaz are on fire killing penalties, but we need to get the big boys out there for more ice time. More penalties=More adjustments by Renney. Roll all 4 lines and go to town!

LET'S GO RANGERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If we've got to lose one of the next two vs them I hope it tonight, that being said I hope it's neither. One thing we need to do is score some friggin goals. I think I had a dream it was 4-2. I'm no good at predictions though, which is why I don't really gamble. Let's do this....

Oh man...

I can't wait to get home from work throw on the grill (its 70 here in NY!!!) Pop open a cold one and watch a damn near playoff hockey game.

My keys to the game:

1. Discipline : No penalties, with the way the Canadiens have been playing the PP a plexiglass Fox commercial goal won't stop the puck from hitting the back of the net.

2. Lundqvist: He'll have to be marvelous again, Montreal is desperate and they're showing it, it looks like they'll bring the pressure and bring it hard here tonight.

3. Pressure: The Rangers need to create a ton of pressure in two areas, back and forecheck, one of the keys to this recent hot streak. If they can continue to have a grind it out forecheck from there 2 and 3 lines, coupled with a team wide commitment to back checking they'll be more than ready!

LETS GO RANGERS!

STAY OUT OF THE BOX!!!

Let's hope the Shamrock line has a good game, if they don't I'm sure we're all going to be
screaming for it to be disbanded. Right in the nick of time for Hossa to come back and stir the pot.

Statistically we're due for a loss. I hope we get one point out of it.

Hossa is a ways off. I doubt hell play in the regular season.

Quote:
• Fedor Tyutin was supposed to receive a brace sometime today (monday) or maybe tomorrow (today) that would allow him to start skating on his own without pucks. Tom Renney said the defenseman still isn’t day-to-day, and by the sound of things, is probably more than a week away. But the hope is that the defenseman could return to play before the playoffs.

• By that measure, Marcel Hossa and Karel Rachunek are both still behind Tyutin in their recoveries. Neither have started skating, either, so it seems unlikely they will return before the end of the regular season. That said, both were walking without limps today, which is a marked improvement from the week before. So it seems they’ve turned a corner as well.

Thanks, I missed sam's blog.

Why don't NHL rosters get to expand before the season ends and into the playoffs.
MLB does it, and I think we're all in agreement here the hockey season is far more debilitating at the end of the season as far as injuries go.

Reporting live from Montreal, it's me!

Yeah decided to spend a 10 hour Amtrak train all the way to this game. Don't ask. I just had too.

Cheers to an injury free great game.

See you all when I get back home to PA.

I hate to say it, but I think we're due for a lose here. Habs are much more desperate right now and they're getting pretty good goaltending right now, albeit not spectacular. I'm praying Lundqvist can stand on his head again, because I see the Rangers somewhat slacking off in this game after winning some of the previous games without putting out much effort.

4-2 Montreal

First goals big, Second goal's bigger, Third goal is a clincher.

Tight games these days.

Any lead is good but building on it is more important.
