Apparently a deal between Florida & Vancouver could potentially be in the works, the 1st overall pick for Chris Tanev & the 6th overall pick.

He played top 4 minutes for Vancouver last year, put up 17 points (6G & 11A) in 64 games. He played a lot of ES & PK minutes with virtually no PP time. All his points came at ES except 1 which came on the PK. He's 24 & a right handed shot.

Honestly, I don't make that trade if I'm Vancouver.

I think Ehlers/Nylander/Dal Colle will be close enough to Reinhart that losing Tanev would make it a losing proposition.

I think they really think about it if they can get Vatanen and the 10 OV from Anaheim for Kesler.
Vatanen could very well step in and give you what Tanev did.

I don't know Tanev played 3 minutes in PK time last year which isn't Vatanen's strong suit. Vatanen will produce more by a good margin but I don't think he can match Tanev's defensive output.

Garrison and the 6 isn't going to get it done either. that is supposed to be Vancouvers counter.

Vancouver fans have been pretty pumped about Tanev, for what it's worth.

I wouldn't be terribly mad at that, since he grew up in my home town, I actually played minor hockey with his sister one year. But yah people will get mad if they really reach

Eric Cornel. Two-way center with offensive upside but might not hit it. Considered a late first or early-mid 2nd in alot of cases.

Such a typical Flyers pick. Might as well prepare for it now haha.

If Hagg turned into a left handed Tanev I would be super pumped.

Definitely a start to being a non playoff team next year. This team doesn't need to be gutted, it needs tweaks and patience.

Depending on the + i guess. Still no interest in dealing Wayne and Coburn.

Hello,

I just wanted to chime and say I'm really excited that Hexy is taking over. I'm not sure how this first draft will work out but we loved having him in our office for the time we did in LA. I was really bummed when he left but if he was going to go somewhere, it should be Philly.

LA has a strong recent history of scouting well and drafting well. I'm hoping he takes you guys to another level.

Good luck!!!!!

I think I'm about to start keeping a notepad list of who's completely insane so I can be sure to change my mind so I can disagree with them on every single subject.
