Pastrnak get injured ? Somebody said, that he walked off the ice after only two minutes in last pre-tournament friendly match against Sweden U-18, which our U-18 lost 3-1

First of all, why is there no separate section for the Czech republic on these forums?

Also, has anyone seen Krystof Hrala play? He will play for Djurgĺrden next season and he's huge.

Probably because there's not enough actively posting Czech fans to make it worth it. :/

Despite losing to Canada in the gold medal game today, in the last year the U-18's have achieved:

2013: Bronze at Ivan Hlinka
2014: Silver at the U-18 WC
2014: Silver at Ivan Hlinka

That's more medals at the junior level in one year than we've had in the last 7!

The question is, are we seeing an improvement in our junior hockey, or just looking at some strong generations (96,97)?

Either way, I'm excited to see what these guys can achieve at the WJC in the next 2 years. I think we'll grab a medal either this year, or next!

(92,93) was the closest level right ? I believe this improvement will continue within our means.

Yeah, they were the strongest generations before 96,97 if that's what you mean. I heard '99 is strong too.

Would also like to know about Frantisek Hrdinka who'll play for Frölunda.

Ah ok, thanks.

'98 did a good job beating the USA in the U-17 tournament which they won.

What do you think of Kristian Reichel?
