can someone explain this to me? i'm confused, its from NHL.com...
"Don't blink, you'll miss something -- The New Jersey Devils may be the NHL's toughest team on concessionaires. Of the 12 games this season that have been clocked in 2:06 or less, half involved the defending Stanley Cup champs. In back-to-back contests, the Devils were clocked in 2:06 (a 4-0 loss to Vancouver) and 2:04 (a 4-1 loss at Philadelphia) But the Devils can win fast, too: They have beaten the Islanders, Canadiens, and Panthers in games that also lasted just 2:06."
hmm...i c. that's weird that they actually time the games. what is the average length of an NHL game?
They seemed to run about 2:10-2:15 last year when the new fast face-off rule was implemented. They seem to be longer this year. I think many teams took advantage of the time saved to insert extra TV timeouts.
