No we don't.. one point would give us 93, and if the Leafs win both games they would tie us and overtake us for the 8th spot..

No excuses acceptable for not winning this game. The Habs kicked our can in MTL in that 2nd period, that can't be forgotten.

The boys need to win this one for Henry plain and simple. He held you in the race during all the injuries, made every start, and even allowed the team to gain on the others for the last few weeks.

Renney needs to put point blank before the game, "WIN IT FOR HENKE!!!!"

Rangers would get the 8th spot if they were tied at 92 and both with 41 wins. They would have the same amount of wins and they are 2-2 against eachother with the same amount of home games played in the series. The third tiebreaker is goal differential.

Toronto is -9 as of today

Rangers are +25 as of today

I wanna see the center ice salute tonight. Nothing would be better than clinching a playoff spot on home ice. Lets get it done boys. This has been an amazing 2 months of hockey for us.

I've got Yanks/Red Sox tickets for the end of April. Haven't been to one between the 2 teams yet, so I'm definitely looking forward to that... and hoping at the sametime that the Rangers are still in the playoffs!!

If Toronto losses in ot they will have 90 points and the rangers will have 92 if we loss out. with toronto beating montreal, that would make it a 92 point tie. Toronto would have 40 wins to the rangers 41 meaning yes we clinch if toronto losses in ot.

Just reading Sam W's blog and:

I am so tired of Renney and his political games he plays w/ the beat reporters.

"I’ll make possibly a game-time decision"
"There’s a possibility of that"
“It’s certainly something we could entertain”

For goodness sake Renney be decisive. Make a decision and stick to it, do you think Kennan, Burns, Hitch, Shoenfeld, Constentine would ever be so soft in telling the press what his descisions are and why? All Season long!

Stop trying to appease everyone! Even if it's an unpopular choice, stand up and show that you are the coach!

Just keep the D's from deflection shots into his goal and evil ice girls out of his face and he'll win it for himself

Wrong the tie beaker is points earned against each other not just record. The Rangers first win vs. Toronto was in a shootout so Toronto has 5 points to our 4. So the Rangers need to win or the leafs need to lose, its that simple.

Come on Rangers, let's take it to OT while the Isles win!

Who wants to see the Leafs in the playoffs anyway? It's way more funny when they aren't!

Dude this is done to keep the other team guessing, not indecisivness. He knows exactly who is playing and what he wants to do.

Our Cup winning hero, Mike Keenan, ws a master of that stuff. never telling anything and mostly lying. Why should he tip his hand to the opposition before he has to?

That's awesome! I'm gonna be on Howard Stern's roundtable show tonight, so I have to somehow get through Penn Station and all the way home on the LIRR without knowing what happened so i can watch my TiVo.

thank god for headphones.

Should be a great game...really looking forward to it (for now).

It's funny both the Habs and Rangers are trying to keep their most hated rivals from reaching the playoffs.

Good luck, may the best team win. (or get at least a point for going in OT)
