Been tooting this horn for awhile. The Decision is such a blight on his legacy that going back was the only way to try to scrub it out. I thought the biggest hurdle would be 'the letter' but I'm surprised he was able to get beyond that. Apparently he put on his big boy pants. Good for him.

Still-- even the way he is going back is so full of pomp -- annoying.

Draft was rigged. Now they'll use Wiggins for a K. Love deal, plus the NBA got to stay front and center in the sports media world for longer than normal in the offseason.

*Conspiracy theory for the day.

What a hypocrite....

Such a joke that Clevelend got the number 1 pick..it totally reeks of something beyond the luck of the draw.

It's been a long, hard road, but we finally reached the mountain top. World Champions (of the Orlando Summer League)!

Looking at the Lin trade to the Lakers it just wouldn't have made any sense for the Sixers. Meh, whatever, moving on.

Don't see how they could pull it off. Minnesota would be giving up the best player in the deal, I think they would at least want the best prospect in the deal.

As I mentioned when Milwaukee was rumored to be a landing spot, the Sixers were always going to be an emergency landing spot. There were teams like MIL and LA that actually wanted him for what he could bring on (and off) the court and were willing to accept less. The Sixers just wanted his contract and the assets that came with it.

Interested to see what Sam does now. Sixers are about $21 million under the floor. I'm sure his players want him to stand pat so they can collect a plump bonus check after the season.

Yeah, but they don't need to get to it now. They could go into the season with it like they did last year and take on salary at the deadline.

Honestly, I don't like the idea of wasting a roster spot on a salary dump anyway (at least in the beginning of the season). They're already going to have roster spots tied up in Embiid and Richardson who are not going to provide anything this year. Embiid for obvious reasons and Richardson because he has no future with this team. They have 3 second round picks that could be signed (two definitely) and a few guys who were impressive in summer league that they might want to sign prior to training camp.

Sounds like its a move to keep his right. They were going to pay for his surgery and rehab though before they signed him so it is a good PR move. Hopefully he bounces back. He's an exciting player.
