So it seems after the Miller signing, Markstrom has requested a trade from Vancouver.

Poor Markie. He needs consistent playing time somewhere to get his confidence up.

What he needs is a good goalie coach. He got plenty of time in the AHL only to come to the NHL and completely bomb. I don't buy the "bad defense ruined his confidence" excuse. Plenty of good goalies have played well with questionable defenses. His play is the reason for this failure thus far in the NHL, not his confidence.

Injuries hurt him quite a bit, too, but I agree.

toews and kane sign long term for i believe 10.8 m each. it's time for tallon to get his chicago connection going and pick up some of the players that they can't fit into their cap. am i wrong, can this be a great opportunity for the cats?

Hawks are pretty much forced to trade Sharp, and they will get way more for him now then in 1 year when they dont have a choice.

Cap will not be 69M again next year + Bickell/Steeger if moved opens up 6.2M more in cap room

Sharp is option but the situation doesn't appear dire enough that trading him is a must

Not right now, but next season there's no way you can hold on to him and Hossa.

Bergeron is obviously more valuable than Chicago boys, or they would've taken less for a strong team like he did.

The Hawks hired Dineen as an assistant coach. Anything you can share?

He lost the locker room here. I don't think he's a terrible coach, last two seasons rosters were a joke.

Something happened with him handling player injuries (Bergenheim), but I don't recall.

Read an article on Twitter that said Florida officials hire a consultant to access the possibility to allow the Panthers to leave.

From the article it appears that Broward County hired the consultant, not the Panthers.
