Ok so here is the situation then:

*NSH beat COL or lose in OT then NSH finish 4th.

*NSH lose to COL in regulation and SJS lose at home to VAN in regulation or OT then NSH finish 4th

*NSH lose to COL in regulation and SJS beat VAN then NSH finish 5th

Lets win this one!

That's a funny picture of Trotz.

Oh the horror of the last game of the season: I ****ing hate the Avs but I'd much rather see them in the playoffs than Calgary. Then there's the whole Foppa aspect too.

I don't mind the Avs but its time to put them out of the running for the playoffs.

I'd rather just let the Canucks take care of business for us.

Vokoun practiced yesterday, and said he felt fine. I think he's the probable starter.

Avs are 14-1-2 over their last 17, and you know they're going to be hungry. We have to match that hunger. Home ice is huge for us.

I'm scared to call this a big game hehe, we haven't fared well in those... So I will say its just another game in the schedule

I hope the Canucks win vs the Sharks, then we will probably relax and win LOL

I read on the other board though, if the Sharks win and Columbus beats the Ducks then we play the Ducks at home. And of course Dallas is still in the mix too so who knows what will happen, but its fun Im going to watch hockey all day and night today and drink beer LOL

I thought scenario was out, because the Ducks gained a point last night? I thought they had to lose outright, without checking the standards.

Well I read it on np.com, heres the standings on yahoo as of today

Team GP Pts
1. z-Detroit 81 111
2. x-Anaheim 81 108
3. x-Vancouver 80 103
4. x-Nashville 81 108
5. x-San Jose 81 106
6. x-Dallas 81 105
7. x-Minnesota 81 102
8. Calgary 80 96
9. Colorado 80 93
10. St. Louis 81 81
11. Columbus 81 73
12. Chicago 80 71
13. Edmonton 81 69
14. Los Angeles 81 66
15. Phoenix 80 65
* = Division Leader

I think SJ has the tie breaker over the Ducks with more wins. The Ducks are a longshot probably because they are playing Columbus but you never know

What's our tiebreaker status with the Ducks?

At this point, I'd rather play them than the Sharks, honestly...

We have 50 wins and they have 47 I guess is the tie breaker. And I think I would rather play the Ducks too LOL

Aye, if the Sharks win and Ducks lose then the Sharks go up to 2nd and the Ducks 5th.

Interesting set of circumstances.

So on one hand, the Sharks play early...and you'd like to see them lose so we don't have to worry. On another, we don't want to play the Sharks...so what to do?

Go Jackets!

Aye, when all is said and done by the end of Saturday things could pretty much stay as they are or change a lot. God I love spring hockey.

Of course I will be listening and hope we win, but I will be rooting for Vancouver this afternoon. About the last time I will have to, thank god , since there's a good chance they are going to play my 2nd favorite team in the first round.

I'm going to guess that the Sharks win but the Ducks drop their game and we play the Ducks with home ice, win or lose.

At this point, no matter who we play, they're going to be playing better hockey then us at this point of the season and they're going to be good. Dallas, Anaheim, San Jose are going to very tough. Home ice advantage is obviously a priority, but it didn't help us too much in last year's playoffs. We just need the team to come out and play very strong. Carry the tiny amount of momentum we built up against a bad team and try to keep it going against a good team.

Colorado is fighting for their playoff lives tonight, while we're coasting into the playoffs trying not to get injured. This one could be very one sided tonight in the Avs favor.

If we lose today and the Sharks win, I will cheer for the Jackets to win a game for the first time against another team(Other than the Wings of course.) GO COLUMBUS!

As I expected after the Blues game Thursday night...Vokoun will start in net tonight.

Also of note...Martin Erat will return to full-team practice Monday!

Well, with Vancouver's win in San Jose just now...we clinch the 4th seed and home ice in the first-round!

Therefore, no injuries tonight...please!!! A nice spirited effort from the boys to continue our momentum from Thursday night heading into the playoffs and a solid effort from Vokoun in nets tonight and win or lose and I'll be happy heading into the playoffs.

Looks like we have a rematch of last year's opening round. Should be a great series this year.
