Got to disagree with you guys there...

There is no way Cullen & Holloweg should even be considered as having the same level of impact on this team. Hitting people vs. burning rubber down the ice and actually shooting instead of la-de-dah passing the puck around like some of the other gentlemen on this team are totally different things. One gets you wins, One hardly does.

Why so many C's for Colton?

Hes improved this year and has scored a couple big goals.

I'd give him somehwere in the B range for improvement, effort and sticking up for his team.

It's all relative I guess. For the time he's been here he's been great imo

and yet Hollweg gets a higher grade than Prucha on some people's scales. 3 points & vs. 39 points.

IMO Orr's been better than Hollweg, but that's just my opinion.

These grades are embarrassing and just go to show how frickin clueless the majority of you are.

Read this thread actually makes me angry.

If you don't know hockey...if you don't know this team, shut your mouth.

As for my grades...

Cullen B+ (he does so many things that you won't find in the boxscore, love him)
Betts C+
Prucha B (A- of recent, C 1st half)
Hollweg B
Straka A-
Nylander B (Don't point to the goals, he does a lot of dumb crap that hurts the flow)
Shanahan A-
Isbister B- (He really came on for us - played his best hockey early, big clap for effort)
Avery A
Orr B (very good year - ask his teammates what his presence brings)
Ortmeyer B (and I thought his career was over...if only he could finish)
Callahan A-
Jagr B+
Hossa A-
Rozsival B+
Malik C+
Pock B (really came on of late, but still not a fan)
Mara B
Girardi A (wow)
Tyutin B+
Lundqivst A
Weekes F

Jagr - B+
Shanahan - B+
Nylander - B-
Straka - B-
Cullen - B
Prucha - B
Avery - B
Hossa - C+
Isbister - C+
Betts - C+
Orr - C+
Ortmeyer - C+
Hollweg - C+

(no Callahan because he's only played a few games)

Tyutin - B+
Girardi - B+
Rozsival - B-
Mara - B-
Rachunek - C+
Malik - C+
Pock - C+
Strudwick - D

Lundqvist - A
Valiquette - D
Weekes - D

Only one player on this team has truly deserved an 'A' and that's Lundqvist. He has carried this team on his back and has brought them to that playoff spot.

Not Jagr, who only just recently has started shooting more and ******* up less, not Nylander, who loves to do spin-o-ramas and pass at every single chance he gets, not Straka who, despite all his hardwork, can't do it alone, etc. Not Shanahan because he had that unfortunate injury. Not Cullen because he has been inconsistent this whole season, not Prucha because Renney only has Pruchs on for about 10 minutes a game, maybe even less, I don't know but Prucha should be getting more. Avery gets a B simply because of the way he plays his game. He works hard every game, hasn't take as much stupid penalties as one would think he would, scored some critical goals and has really given this team energy and spark. The rest of the fowards are all C+, the only person I see who can contribute more to the team is Hossa.

For the defensmen, Tyutin (no bias) has been the best. His stickwork, backchecking, clearing the crease, taking the man, etc. has been 50% better then Malik, who fails to do atleast 3 parts of a defensmen's job every game. Rozsival is terribly inconsistent, one game he plays like he should be on the team, another game he plays like he's in the AHL. Nonetheless, Rozsival has picked up his game, he has been getting more shots off (even scoring) and doing a better job. Mara really hasn't had his time to shine yet, he does his job well but he hasn't shown me that offensive touch of his yet. Girardi, for a rookie, has been flat out excellent. Rachunek, imo, there is something that's just NOT RIGHT with him. Something to his game, perhaps it is inconsistency as well. He can hit, he sticks up for teammates, he can shoot, pass, block shots, etc. but sometimes he really frustrates you. I don't like Pock and Strudwick will never be anything more of a 7th defensmen.

This team still has a lot of holes in it, but we have to be patient and hopefully, players like Staal, Dubinsky, Callahan, Bourret, Dawes, Sauer, Sanguinetti, etc. will really help in the future.

Anyone who gives Henrik less than an A is either insane, a moron or hasnt been watching Ranger games this season.
