Myself and 2 friends are looking at coming over from the UK in early October, first time visiting NYC and first Rangers game. Found tickets on Stubhub for the Leafs home opener on Oct 12th for around $165 in the 400s (415 to be precise).

Just would like some basic info in terms of sight lines or if there is anyone that posts here willing to part with tickets for the Leafs game for similar/less and if not whether the cost on Stubhub is reasonable. Feel free to PM me and any help is hugely appreciated!

What row are they?

I'd wait it out for a bit if I were you. I don't know how soon you need to buy tickets but individual tickets are released in September and you could take a chance at getting tix then. At the least, supply will go up on StubHub as the summer progresses so prices should go down a bit.

They were row 6 I believe. Wasn't actually sure when the best time to buy tickets was, so if there's going to be tickets released in September and supply is going to definitely go up then I have no problem in waiting!

Row 6 in the 400 level has obstruction. If you're coming all the way from the UK, i'd recommend spurling a litte bit more for 200 level gallery or 100 level lower bowl tickets. For opening night, you should be able to get 200 level gallery for $175 or really good 100 level tix for $250.

There's no supply right now. I'd wait until it gets closer to the start of the season.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated! Will keep a look out for those level tickets and wait until nearer the season.

Not quite sure where to put this. Looking to get to a Rangers game at the rock this year. Sadly, we're there for their 2nd and last home games of the year, so probably higher demand than usual, even for a NYR game. 1) Will I be able to get tickets from ticketmaster, or will they sell out? 2) Are the uppers decent seats, or should I spring for the mezzanine?

I got for both games last season no problem through their presale and regular on sale. I sit in the upper corner which is the cheapest on the side the Rangers shoot twice. Only thing is their upper level is VERY high up. Closer to the ice than MSG but also higher up.

Don't know about demand for the Ranger games, but agree with what was said about the height of their uppers. Went to a game against Columbus two days after Christmas, only because the Rangers weren't home over the Christmas holiday and my daughter wanted to see a live hockey game when we visited my family in Jersey. Sat in the second row uppers and it was HIGH. Not a bad seat, but higher than I expected.

Demand for that game was surprisingly high. I think it actually sold out.

Little farther back than that. Here's a pic I took years ago with a ****** BlackBerry camera. It's from 233 row 9 which is the last row in the upper corner. Basically what you'd consider the "worst" seat in the house.

The other issue I have with the upper level is it's tough to see the scoreboard from that high. The screen isn't that big and the ring with the time, score, shots, and penalties is at the bottom and tough to make out.

Looking to acquire 1-2 tickets per game to:

Nov29 v. Philadelphia Flyers
Dec23 v. Washington Capitals
Jan3 v. Buffalo Sabres

Interested in anything except the 400s.

If you are selling any tickets to a game in that set at FV- let me know at jtc42@pitt.edu or a PM here.

Thank You.

Those three plus opening night may be the most in demand of the season. It's unlikely you'll be able to find those for face. I understand there's no harm in asking, but wanted to give you a heads up.

I will have my usual seats in section 226 row 9 once again for this season. Pretty much everything is available this year except home opener. I havent picked out all the games I am going to yet but whoever buys a nice chunk of games from me I will also throw in a preseason game as well. Thanks guys cant believe we already basically 2 months away from hockey and football the wait is even less with camps opening this month.

I'm interested in a mini plan for the upcoming season, but I won't be back in NYC until around December. Do you think it'd be possible for me to get a mini plan through the Rangers that doesn't include games from October and November? If that's not an option, I'd be open to working out a 5-10 game package with a STH, looking for 2 tickets ideally.

Don't think they have early season vs. late season mini plans. Interesting idea though.

Call and ask. Worst case if you have to take a game in October or november, you can just sell it.

Problem with re-sale on a mini plan is the markup over STH prices...pretty much kills any margin for profit or to break even. I know my early games last year took a beating due to everyone still being in football mode. Unless you got lucky with cheaper seats you will probably make out a lot better to just buy a set of games off people from the boards.

I managed to get all the games I wanted from board members at great prices.
No post-season option, but at least I get to go to the games I want in seats I want at a good price.

I am looking for 2 tickets for the December 27th game. I am visiting NYC.

I suspect this will be a difficult game to get tickets for as it is during the holidays.

Is it best to wait until tickets go on sale to try to get them there and if that doesn't work try StubHub?

There's no home game on December 29th. Do you mean the 27th?
