I believe we are a better team than Atlanta. The Devils are the Devils and not only do they own us but in a rivalry series like that anything can happen and it takes so much out of you. That's why I really wanted to play Atlanta. All we need to do is steal a game down there and come home and have a 3-1 lead baby. I'm actually going to be rooting for the Fishies tomorrow. It would be really exciting all of us being in it.
Careful what you wish for, but at the same time I for one DID NOT want to see the Devils in the first round.
I hope Vinny and CO. destroy them though i think their goaltending will have to come up big to beat them.
As far as Atlanta goes, it should be a fun matchup. Maybe the best for the Rangers IMO. Both play similar skilled styles and if the Rangers can get the ball rolling against them i think we can see some good things.
They have nearly 30 more goals against their team than we do. We play our defense, we win this series. Virtually identical in goals scored for both teams, so I think the offenses are about as equal as can be.
LET'S GO RANGERS!

Thrashers don't scare me. Our offense is pretty much equal to their offense, and I give us the edge on the defensive side of things. If we play solid D and Henke continues to shine, then we'll take this series. Just glad we don't have to play Brodeur.
