It's embarissing (sp?) to have you "apart" of this Ranger fanbase... No one has given Henrik anything less than an A, and you continue to lessen your credibility around here with your ranting and raving about how bad Henke is.. get a clue

If I thought he was THAT bad I would not have given him a B, a B means he has been very solid, I was actually close to giving him a B+ and the difference between a B or B+ and an A is not that large so you can get a clue.

BTW, if I am so embarrasing, isn´t it a good thing that I am apart from this fan base and not a part of it?

I'd like to get a clue on why you have such a biased view towards Henke, as it is evident with everyone on this board. I'm not trying to attack you but when you attack arguably our mvp just because you prefer Alvaro, it strikes a nerve.

Attack? I gave him a friggin B and like I said I was very close to giving him a B+, if I would be attacking him I would give him a D or something.

I have no biased view towards him, unless you count that I dont think he is that good as others here do and I think that Montoya will be better.
Other than that I have no problem with him, like I have said before he has been good this year and he seems like a nice person.

When I say that I dont like him it doesn´t mean that I hate him or anything just that I am indifferent towards him, I dont like him and I dont dislike him.

I don't think there's anything wrong with giving Henrik an A- or B++ for the season. He didn't have a great first half, and when averaged with his spectacular play of late you can reasonably end up with a final grade in the low A to high B range.

you guys have to realize that this is a team effort. you guys giving blair betts c- or even d's isnt right. blair goes out and wins face offs like he's is supposed to do. He isnt a scorer or a hitter. If tom renny needs to win a face off he'll send out blair. Just as for orty, he goes out and blocks shots every penatly kill. As for giving colton orr and ryan hollweg bad grades is terrible, they both go out and make there 30 second shifts at 115 percent finishing every check. You dont see straka or nylander finishing there checks do you?

Petr Prucha: B
Ryan Hollweg: C (I think he was more affective last year)
Martin Straka: B+
Michael Nylander: A-
Brendan Shanahan: B+ (Typical of his career, he really died in the 2nd half)

Colton Orr: C+ (Played his role, may have won some games for us himself)
Jed Ortemeyer: B- (Is getting better and better at what he does)
Ryan Callahan: B+ (love him)
Jaromir Jagr: B (Tough to give a guy with 96 points a B, but he wasn't himself this year)

Jarko Immonen: C-
Michal Roszival: B+
Marek Malik: C
Thomas Pock: B- (Getting better every game)

Matt Cullen - C ... average, that's it, not good, not bad

Blair Betts - C

Petr Prucha - C+ ... despite being misused, his effort was strong, above average performance

Ryan Hollweg - C- ... I think there's a better player in there

Martin Straka - A ... tremendous for us all season, Energizer bunny-style

Michael Nylander - A ... Jagr definitely helps him, but there's no denying his skill/focus

Brendan Shanahan - B+ ... injury aside, he was very good, but not A material

Brad Isbister - C ... he's just a body

Sean Avery - A+ ... outstanding

Colton Orr - B- ... improved effort and mobility exponentially

Jed Ortmeyer - C+ ... great, tenacious comeback, despite that energy, he's been above average for himself but not good

Ryan Callahan - B+ ... was a goal or two from A- in my book

Jaromir Jagr - A ... can't blame him for the shoulder, but he still had an outstanding season, as usual

Marcel Hossa - B- ... without his late surge, he would've gotten a C

Brandon Dubinsky - INC

Nigel Dawes - INC

Jarko Immonen - INC

Michal Roszival - B+

Marek Malik - C- ... never was himself this season

Thomas Pock - INC

Paul Mara - B+

Jason Strudwick - C

Daniel Girardi - B

Fedor Tyutin - B+ ... still learning

Bryce Lampman - INC

Sandis Ozolinsh - F

Henrik Lundqvist - A

Stephen Valiquette - INC

Kevin Weekes - C- ... worse than usual[/QUOTE]

Man u guys rating lundy a+ forgetting the 1 half of the eason where he was terrible. I atribute this to him trying to improve which he did but you can't ignore it

Malik I agree was horrible the majority of the season

I think pru was very good and even better than last year. He improved his defense and was creating more plays. Even with all the press box time and slow start he ended w 22 goals

Jagr was good this year but at times I had the feeling of what's wrong w jagr and you look and he still had put up a lot of points. I guess that treally shows how special last season was

First half? He had one bad month (october), along with a few bad games here and there. However, october also held a laughable Rangers defense, where Malik was playing his worst and we played stars like Ozolinsh and Kasparaitis. It was a Lundqvist in bad form all alone against other teams forwards.

All players has had bad games or a bad month. You can't exactly say Jagr for example played his best when he had a 27 game scoring drought. Shanny has also had a scoring drought. A team is about other players stepping forward when others have it tough, however in Lundqvist's case there's no one else. When he fails, the team fails, but he held up his end of the deal for the team. It's as simple as that.

You can't give Lundqvist anything else but an A for his performance, where he outshined any other goalie in the league from november(?). And his performance, after the all star break when the Rangers needed him the most, was world class. It was his rookie form all over again and perhaps even better. Had we only been able to score more than 1 goal a game during his stint, we would have secured the 6th spot some time ago.

However, I give credit where credit is due. Renney managed to mold the team into thinking about the defensive part of the game. While we don't exactly have a defense on paper that make any other team envy us, they did their job well, making it possible for Lundqvist to do his job. Forwards have backchecked hard and the young ones (like Girardi for example) simply did their job. Very impressive.

This playoff push that we managed to pull has been incredible. It was almost impossible, but this team did it. And we did it without sacrificing any future (in fact, we strengthened it!). I personally didn't think we had even a scratch of chance to make the playoffs after the bunch of injuries that we had, in that situation.

The logic that Colton Orr had a better season than Malik would be laughable if it wasn't pathetic even though it is the mindset of some others as well.

And Strudwick was equal to Malik? Geez.
