Now I have another question, are we talking 1.0, 2.0, Indo? They all will range.

I'm kicking around the idea of getting one of our prospects jerseys from Meigray, probably Bleackley. So any advice on that? I probably don't need to preorder since they won't be in much demand. Any idea when they get the preseason jerseys in? Also, what's the difference in how they classify them? Some say training camp only or preseason only or game issued. I know game issued means unworn but not sure how to interpret the rest. I'll just have to remember what they were wearing in whatever game they get in.

Training Camp Only means they were worn in training camp scrimagesor games where the players wear the actual Avs jerseys. An example would be the burgundy/white game.

Preseason only means that they were worn for exhibition games against other NHL teams.

Game issued means the jersey was created by the team in case the player needed to wear it in a game. if the player didn't wear the created jersey, then like you said, it was unworn.

I LOVE these jerseys and Pronger. Wish they wore them.
What's the story behind this jersey?

That makes sense, thank you. I was forgetting about the B/W game.

I can't afford to invest in the Meigray's or any other Authentic jerseys, but my fiancée did get me a Landeskog Away jersey from IceJerseys.com during their sale ($134.50) as a birthday gift...I should actually get it around my birthday too, so I'll share some pics. VERY excited for it!

The jersey was what was "supposed" to be worn by the Flyers for the 2012 Winter Classic. I say supposed to because it was created by Reebok and the NHL through back room channels to get the Chinese counterfeiters to produce mass amounts of these jerseys and be stuck with dead stock because the Flyers were at no point ever going to wear them.

Yup. And the jerseys are gorgeous compared to what they did wear. Weirdos.

Meh. I love the jerseys they wore. It's my favorite Flyers design to date.

Just ordered my first game-issued jersey from Meigray's summer sale. I picked up Joey Hishon's 2012-13 burgundy set 1. I wanted to stay on the lower side of things cost-wise for my first jersey, and I really liked what I saw from Hishon in his limited ice time in the playoffs, so I figured that was a good fit. I hope I don't get hooked on collecting these, LOL.

I think EPS charges something like $30 - $40. Pricey once you figure in shipping to/from to get it there & back. What are you going to strip?

I was just looking on eBay at game issued stuff for lesser liked players was thinking if I get one then strip it and put a name on it if it would be cheaper or not.

That's exactly what I would do. No matter what you buy at retail, a current Edge jersey is not what is worn on the ice. Grabbing a game issue, team issue, or even a lightly used gamer to strip is absolutely the way to go. In some cases just about the same cost as going retail, but for a superior jersey made for the ice. Not just Ebay, but go to Meigray and look again during the sale periods for jerseys like your Hishon. There are a few there & if you get them on sale they really aren't that off of what you'd pay for an "authentic" retail jersey. Strip & put your player on and you've got an on-ice Edge jersey. Contact EPS (Exclusive Pro Sports) and see what they charge for a strip. They can also do the new name & number for you while they have it, if you want to keep your cost down. I've seen a few EPS Avs jerseys recently and to be honest, they really do a great job replicating Denver Athletic's numbering & nameplate. I honestly don't know if I could pick out a recent EPS Avs vs. a Denver Athletic Avs jersey. Your call, though.

This was what I had in mind when I ordered the Hishon jersey. If he makes it, I get a great game-issued collector's item. If not, I can have the jersey stripped and re-customized to the Avs player of my choosing and still have it come out about the same or a little less than what I paid for my Edge Duchene jersey from nhl.com (purchased before I knew about Meigray). And that was during an nhl.com sale where customization was free, too.

Oops, wrong guy with the Hishon jersey. Sorry. Yeah, Meigray sales on GI/TI are really the way to go. Sorry Zingbo & nanzen for mixing up the posts.

The prices listed are not the sales prices. You'll need to calculate those yourself and all sale items are processed manually so even though it looks like you're paying full price when checking out, you're not.
