So All 3 teams are playing thursday at 7? Whats the TV situation gonna look like, who goes on to MSG2/FSNY2? Whats in HD?
just asking, any answers or opinions?
If you live in or around NYC, you will see the Rangers on MSG, the Devils on FSNY, and the Sabres on VS on nights all three are playing. If no one is scheduled to be on VS, my guess is the Devils will go to overflow.

Reason: adding something
That is the million dollar question. None of the Rangers/Islanders/Devils will be on VS. Thursday night, so it looks like they'll all air locally on MSG, MSG2, and FSNY. Will MSG-HD carry the Rangers? They usually don't do away games in HD...but this is the playoffs we're talking about.
MSG has NOT released the broadcast schedules for the playoffs. As soon as I get the info, I'll pass it along.
Do you work for MSG? Do you think it's likely that they will do the road games in HD? I have 5 people waiting for the word to see whether my playoff party is on...and it comes down to whether the game is in HD.
I will be pissed if the road games aren't in HD. And what also sucks is that Cablevision doesn't carry Versus in HD, so I'll have to watch those games in standard definiton. UGH!
I can't wait til the day that EVERYTHING is broadcast in HD.
And I can't even watch game 3 because i'm working all day Saturday. Thank god for DVR, but it's going to be so hard to avoid checking the score throughout the day (or fast-forwarding to the end while i'm watching the game at night )
The National Hockey League released schedules for all eight first-round playoff series on Sunday night, including the Rangers-Atlanta series, which begins on Thursday night at Atlanta's Philips Arena.
The Blueshirts best-of-7 series with the Thrashers will include at least one back-to-back set at Madison Square Garden for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday, April 17, and Wednesday, April 18.
The opening two games in Atlanta will take place on Thursday night and Saturday afternoon. The Saturday game will be televised nationally on NBC. A Game 6, if necessary, would also air on NBC on Sunday, April 22, and a seventh game would air Monday, April 23, on Versus.
All other games, including the series opener on Thursday, will air locally on MSG and in Canada on TSN.
iN DEMAND claims that Center Ice will broadcast "select games" from the first two rounds of the playoffs. I interpreted that as games not being carried nationally. So basically if it's on VS or NBC, it won't be shown on Center Ice (or it'll just be blacked out). If it's on MSG or any local equivalent, it'll be shown on Center Ice.
If anyone noticed, your cable carrier most likely got rid of all the extra dedicated Center Ice channels that aren't needed anymore and now you only have like 3 or 4 remaining. Mine were replaced with the MLB Extra Innings channels.
