What a perfect time to find a great line in Bourret/Jarkko/Dawes.

yeah, i was watching them a couple games ago and definitely saw a bunch of chemistry on that line.. seemed like Bourret and Dawes knew where the other was at all times..

Haha during the last Wolf Pack Confidential, which is the radio show they have on Tuesday nights, Bourret said he is the passer and Nigel is the shooter! Haha.

Bourret's been fantastic since his "slow" start during his adjustment period after coming over from Chicago. Right now I couldn't ask for more from the guy. He's been racking up assists, scoring, laying nice hits on guys, and he's a tough kid.

Good to hear, I was excited when we picked him up, our youth system is starting to look pretty dang nice.

well since he was a first round pick, I hope he is just as good as Avery or better than Avery. I can see Hollweg on the move this year if Byers or Bourret makes the team out of camp. I think Byers replaces Hollweg in 07-08 season. He has more size, grit and skill. And he actually scored more than 8 goals in the AHL. I love Hollweg but maybe he should have stayed in the AHL last year to work on his offensive game.

I think Bourret definitely has better skills than Avery and Bourret doesn't "agitate" like Avery, he just goes around and makes some hard checks. It seems like EVERY player on this team does that. Callahan was insane with it. Immonen lays some huge ones. Korpikoski got check of the game the other night. Francis Lessard must be teaching these guys something. Dane Byers definitely looks like a replacement for Hollweg. He can just do the same, and more.

Realy happy to see jarkko having some sucess again, his numbers were very good considering 50 points in 52 games, Love that Dawes & Bouret are mixing well with Immo.

His numbers are fantastic when you also consider a few other things such as his slow, slow start (along with the whole team! -- last to second place!) and the fact he's been up and down and up and down and most of the time when he's been up, he wasn't playing. Then he came back here to Hartford and produced for us.

I'm a big Immonen fan. I think he's an NHLer.

I became an Immonen fan...

but don't see him having a future with the Rangers. I still do wonder if he has it in him to grind it out over 82 games, but you may be able to say that about a lot of guys. He's come on strong in the second half of this season and that's a good sign. Glad to see him contributing.

Well I don't like Renney and I'm not going to drink his kool aid. He's only ever done anything good when he's been forced to. He's not terrible by any stretch but he's not the type of coach that I'd want for my team if I were a GM.

I don't see why he couldn't play 82 games...he may never get the chance to prove it. God if they turn their heads to him I pray he goes somewhere else and becomes very successful.

Jarkko Immonen is our current version of Marc Savard... the difference is that the Rangers brass gave Savard some ice time for a duration of a season...

a little off topic here, but how has Jessiman been doing since his hot start when he was called up from the checkers.

i think renney thinks jarkko needs to work on something, ala pock. what that is is between them. may jarkko find it.

No offense to Immonen and those that are high on him but I hope we package him, our #1 + whatever in a trade UP in the draft to get one of the top 5 players.

I just feel in the next 3-4 years we will have many young players of Immonen's talent or better.

A player like Van Riemsdyke(or whoever) would look good on the Ranger's future depth chart.

i agree and next year he has to go through waivers. So he must make the team. I hope he dont go back to Finland and then we dont get much for him

Actually, there have been some rumors that he would return to Finland to get a boost for his NHL career, but I highly doubt that he would return. He has said that he didn't come over there just to play in the AHL. His goal is in the NHL and he wants a one way contract. If not the Rangers then with some other NHL team and I think he will get a one way deal somewhere.

Anyway, congrats to Jarkko for a well earned award.
