Anywhere north or west of the I-88 corridor (which connects Binghamton and Albany) is Canada.

Anywhere between the I-88 corridor and the Bronx is considered "upstate".

Long Island is really a whole different state altogether...

Lets go Rangers

I thought that MSG stood for More Sabre Games.

It is really just your point of view. When I lived in Plattsburgh, I would always say I am going downstate because everything is downstate. Some would even call Syracuse downstate. I live near Albany now but what makes me laugh the most is when my wife, who is from a town near Plattsburgh, gets mad at the weathermen when they talk about the North Country. I think to a lot of people north of Essex county think that Essex to the border is the North Country and everything south of that is downstate.

Maybe you can replace my mailbox. It's still crooked after you backed into it.

Clarkstown North was a great team. Shenedehowa is always strong, they have about 6000 kids to draw from and a pretty strong program in the Clifton Park area, while we (Shaker/Colonie) only gets about half that much. Nick Petrecki is from the Clifton Park area and the Shen district, though obviously he never played high school hockey. If he did, well, I wouldn't have wanted to be in goal.
