The Monarchs website indicates that Fukufuji and Schmidt have been recalled from Reading...

i am wondering if they will put the "three kings" in right away, or give them a bit of a rest. was it in the union leader that i was reading that they were going to give some "banged" up guys some rest as well, so maybe the reason for schmidt and werner to be called up?

Actually I edited my post after reading on the Monarchs site that only Fukufuji and Schmidt have been recalled from Reading. I think Morris and Hubie would like to get O'Sullivan, Tukonen and Zeiler into the lineup for a few games before the playoffs...

It was in the UL that you read about resting banged up players this week...

LaBarbera is listed as "week-to-week" with a lower body injury...

So what would a healthy Monarchs lineup look like heading into the playoffs?

I'm hoping they continue to use O'Sullivan as a center, with Murray and Lewis as the other two centers (and Ryan on the fourth line).

And you gotta wonder if Boyle will be signed to an ATO...

My guess:

Forwards

Jackman - Murray - Clarke
Tukonen - Lewis - O'Sullivan
Zeiler - Gauthier - Moulson
Giuliano - Ryan - Westgarth

scratch: Kanko, Stephenson, Crosty...

Maybe swap O'Sullivan and Lewis. My thought is the Kings might want O'Sullivan playing wing down here...

Defensemen

Buckley
*Nolan (injured in last game shoulder/collar bone?, status unknown)
Harrold
Kemp
*Petiot (Took a shot off the foot/ankle and one off the arm last game)
*Tverdovsky (Has been scratched the last two games. Resting?)

scratch: Mormina, *Likens (making a STRONG case for himself), Schmidt (My vote for most improved player this season)

Goaltenders

*Labarbera (week-to-week)
Brust

Scratch: *Fukufuji (back-up Brust if LaBarbera can't go) , *Quick (ankle injury, approximately 2-weeks away)

I think everyone pretty much expects to see Boyle signed to an ATO...

He's playing very solid. I think he's making a strong case for himself for an invite to camp next summer...

Who does he play like? He seems like a Mike Weaver type player...

Weaver is as good a comparison as any in terms of playing style. Strong skater, decent shot, good positioning, physical and strong on the walls. Likens is definately larger than Weaver...

Think he has a shot to make it, or is he a depth guy 7-8?
