Jed Ortmeyer good dude.

Well Jed Ortmeyer has his brother playing for the Trenton Titans of the ECHL and was one of the few people in the stands for a playoff game tonight. Its not uncommon to see players/scratches in the stands and a friend of mine pointed out that this guy in front of us was a possible player for one of the teams on the ice. He wasn't in a suit so I didn't think nothing of it. Through out the game I was heckeling his brother while he was in front of us all the while. Only at the last 5min of the game I reconized who was in front of us. I asked him your Jed Ortmeyer right? He replied yes and I shook his hand and we talked about the upcoming playoff series with Atlanta he got a kick out of my light harted heckeling of his brother and the visiting team. Anyway I wished some luck in the playoffs and gave him my series prediction RANGERS IN 7!!! and also told him how it sucks to be a Devils fan in the area with being around all these rival fans Philly Rangers. Hockey players are nice people and their also good at hockey.

You're lucky it wasn't Sean Avery's brother with Sean Avery sitting in front of you

Jed Ortmeyer is a pretty cool guy. He flipped me a puck in LA in the 03-04 season.

Hey, Perry Pearn is a sexy, sexy man. It's all about the wardrobe. He went to the late Roger Neilson's Hockey Coach's Neckwear Academy.

Lol, I awalys get a kick out of Petr's interviews. He just always seems so humble and yet so nervous at the same time. Seems like a real good kid.

Haha Prucha is such a character. If we ever trade him, that day will be forever mourned.
I'd really like to meet him just to see what he's like.
Anyone else meet any of the current Rangers and know what they're all about?
Last Rangers I met were in like the 97' season (I think)...I met guys like Healy, Lidstrom (a couple times, played against his kid a lot since he played for the Rye Rangers) and a bunch of others...I remember Petr Nedved was a real jerk...and he wore a really stupid looking hat haha.

I actually saw Pavel Bure at a restaurant in Manhattan several years ago when he was on the team and went up to him and shook hands with him. He was with somebody else who looked like a Russian mobster lol. I also saw Brian Leetch at a Yankees game maybe 10 years ago when I was just a kid and he signed a baseball for me.

Haha Yikes, typo/brain freeze.
My mistake. Yes, Doug Lidster...I guess it was a wishful attempt to change my memory from meeting Doug Lidster to Niklas Lidstrom...

Ortmeyer is all class. Really one of the great guys in our game. Has a lot of the same qualities as Adam Graves.

Ortmeyer also flipped me a puck, it was after warm-ups in the last game of the 05/06 season vs Ottawa. I was a few rows behind the Rangers' bench, he pointed right at me and was quite accurate with the flip

Coolest thing ever.

He runs like a little girl who doesnt know how to run...good thing he skates for a living.

I just started laughing so hard

saw jed this past fall outside of the time warner center. We spoke for about 5 min. he was still pretty down about not being able to play...you could see how much playing meant to him, but nonetheless he was a classy, nice guy.

The only Ranger I ever met was Dan Clouiter, It was before a game back in 99. I was real young, maybe 11 or 12, I remeber it quite well thou, he was a nice guy, he seemed really nervous, and he said something like he was real scarred to play or something like that. signed my jersey too.

Prucha is a good guy, not that shy. I met him along with Hollweg & Aaron Ward a few months back. They all were acting their 'coolest' at a local pub. We talked about hockey, movies, whatever. Ward bought us a few rounds, that ended up as a nice going away gift in retrospect
