Beantown Grapevine - Spezza on the block?

Boston (AP):

The Rusty Bean Pro-Am Invitational Sensational Charitable Golf Tournament wrapped up last night, and as per usual GM Kruegs of the Boston Bruins held a press-conference to discuss the franchise's off-season game plan. After a few pints of fine ale, he addressed the media:"I'll make this short and sweet. We have a stable of very fine young talent - some of the world's very best prospects belong to this franchise. We will build around them in the coming years to produce a cup contender. The team will build organically and not turn to expensive UFA help as it did in the past. Improvements in league financial modelling will certainly help the franchise through it's rebuilding phase - despite the HFNHL mirroring the NHL in many financial areas ( player salary in particular ), inequalities still exist from a franchise revenue generation perspective and I am confident these will be addressed in the near future. Finally, we will utilize our current assets as best we can to reach our future goal of being a cup contender. That may mean that some of our stars may be on the block in order to acquire the younger pieces we'll need. The Bruins will consider all offers that help us reach our future goal of contending for the cup. Now - someone get me another Black and Tan. I am thirsty!"

So there it is Bruin fans. The Bruins will continue the organic growth they started last year. Some big roster names may apparently be moved - including their captain Jason Spezza. It will be interesting to see what develops as the off-season lull gives way to the 2015 pre-season push. Stay tuned Beantown.
